LTE is working on band 4 carriers.
However it's technically not legal for it to do so (in the US) as it didn't pass through the FCC with those frequencies.
I am definitely gonna sell my s3 and get this phone. Question is, will my s3 recycle value drop in next couple weeks or can i hang on to it until this phone is released?
crystal ball says the S3 price won't fall off a cliff as it's a very popular handset and it will take a while before the mass population cotton on to the N4.
Yeah but was going to recycle not auction so it's what phone companies know not the general public. Could likely get more if I sold privately but don't want the risk
recycle sites value phones on how popular they are - so that was my point.
Well see what happens, mazuma and envirofone are £245 at the moment, lets see how it unfolds.
My guess is it will still be £220+ when the N4 hits the market.
So have people that got the back-order email actually received their N4 yet? Been over a week now so youd expect at least some further notification and people early in the queue to have theirs now...
If its still nothing, hmmm, wow @ Google Play...

For those wondering about cases, this is the clear gel one I got off eBay:
have day off today..sent only few texts ...I would imagine that it would eat less battery when not used...
people are saying they get like 2% drain over night...screen was on for around 30min....should phone eat so much power ??

Solid thin blue line shows your phone is not sleeping as it should. Click on your graph and post a screen shot.

Yeah I think you're right. I was previously getting an unusually high number of emails fr my exchange client during the original time I mentioned. It went down at the same time I turned off the cell broadcasts. So after several hours it's looking like 10% is a more accurate number than 5.
I disabled exchange syncs as well as Google now and it got even lower.
So basically anything that communicates seems to trigger it and the effect is cumulative. The more syncs you have the more the wakelock is. So instead of waking up quickly and syncing and then going back to sleep, it appears to continue to stay awake for an unreasonable amount of time.
Compared to 4.1.2 on my galaxy nexus, this blows. I'm used to an awake time of only 5% higher than my screen on time. On this device with 4.2 the best I can do (while still having the features that I'm used to) is 12 to 15% more awake time than screen on time. That's only by disabling latitude and location tracking and most notifications and syncs with g+ and the Google account.
For the nexus 4 folks, it's settings, wireless section, more, cell broadcasts. Uncheck all.
Update: disabling this seems to help. Going from 25 - 30 % wakelock to 3-5%.
Regarding the msm_hsic_host wakelock, which is one thing that is contributing towards the battery drain:
Apparently it is also happening on the optimus G.
