I heard that the miracast feature is present in the software, it just isn't activated on the N10 and 7. I expect future custom ROMs and even official releases will unlock it.
I doubt that band will be any use over here.

Just did a bit of googling. Supposedly O2 and Voda later in 2013 will utilise the 2100MHz spectrum for 4G. I guess by then there will be a new android handset out.
For anyone interested in what happens after O2's exclusive on the N4 expires on 10 Dec, 3 will be selling the N4 immediately after. Same (overinflated) price as O2 by the way.
I was in my local O2 today in London and asked to demo the N4. The guy said the demo model was ripped from the display case yesterday and stolen! Geez. Anyway he got one from the back after 10 mins! Imagine, having the exclusive and being too lazy to display it? I stacked it against my GNex and the similarities in dimensions are amazingly close. Just the glass back and the headphone jack being on top rather than the bottom seemed different. And no little bump on the back for the battery, as with the GNex. But they felt almost identical otherwise in appearance. But the OS was so damn smooth. The extra horse-power is so notable. Would certainly be fun if EE brings its SIM free 4G price down when competition hits and if the N4 is compatible with EE's 4G.

Unfortunately it's not as simple as that, at least on the Nexus 7. Miracast requires 802.11a support which the Nexus 7 doesn't have so it won't be a case of just enabling something in a custom ROM.
There is however an alternative on the N7 if you have a Raspberry Pi:

I keep meaning to try it but not had the time up until now.
Check out AnandTech review of LTE on the Nexus 4. Bottom line: Band 4 (AWS) works fine--very simple adjustment really. I have not checked out the Bands that EE, O2 and Voda will be on. Has anyone the answer whether the Nexus 4 will work on EE bandwidth? If EE is Band 4, then perhaps someone could try it?
