And before too many people jump in and shout Brink was poo!, there's a few things to consider. Firstly, this is a PC exclusive, and secondly they're dropping id Tech and using the Unreal engine. Both great bits of news. Remember also that ET is still better than anything we currently have to play and nobody else is making games of this type.

Looks interesting. Brink had interesting ideas...just sadly that was at a 1:1 ratio with really terrible ideas. If they can shift the balance a bit they could release a good game.
 
I really liked Brink despite its flaws. Ths looks like it's kept the art style but is a 'normal' fps? I hope not.

Also the teaser was pretty awful with that horrible fake video static.
 
I cannot understand why they cant update ET with new gfx, sound and UI.... It would make piles of cash even just in unit sales. A simple shooter is all i want.

What did you think of that map set in a city bank, was pretty lame I thought.

I like the level thats like a rip off of cs office the most.
 
As excited as I am by this (absolutely loved ET) I'd rather it wasn't free to play. I'd always rather buy a game than have to concern myself with micro transactions and all that guff.
 
ET is still by far my most enjoyed online game.
I'd absolutely still play it today, same graphics, same everything. Only problem is now every single server is a bot fest. Even if you could find a server with people on it, the numbers are still made up by bots.

Bots killed ET :(
 
Like the fact it looks like it's set in London. London would have to be one of the best locations for a game ever. A GTA6 set in London would be, quite simply, awesome.

But ETQW was rubbish, so this will probably be rubbish.
 
I miss RTCW and ET. They were the first online games I properly got in to. I've just accepted that I won't be able to relive those times again. I've forgotten all the bad aspects of it and now I'm just left with the best parts, just like with the old CoD and BF games.
 
Looks like brink with no ambition. Total waste of time, why dont they just sort brink and give us what they promised 1st time round.
