Dirty Bomb (from the ppl behind ET)

I don't see the point in this game? They've taken Brink, removed the cool parkour feature, reskinned the maps/guns to be modern military and...made a really bland shooter with no USP...

If they've removed the weird way that leveling up and class unlocks worked in Brink, and removed the cluster-****/chock point areas in maps then they'll have a really awesome game.

Pre-ordered brink for release day. May 13 2011

Still sat on my shelf fully wrapped. Dec 14 2012

Think this speaks volumes for what i think of splash damage.

After one bad game that you didn't even try? Says more about you my friend ;)

It looks like they're trying to recreate ET in a different setting, which is enough of a selling point for many people - especially considering the sorry state team based PC shooters are in at the moment.

anyone who says this will be good or looks good i would just go and buy console its terrible . probably one of worst fps games i ever seen in history

Have you actually played it or are you basing that off the video? Could you give a few reasons why you think it sucks?

I think it looks interesting personally. Definitely the potential to go either way though.

Dirty Bomb -Splash Damage......

Krept under the radar this one, never even new it was in development. Problem is its splash damage. Now i know they did the multiplayer for ET and was probably the greatest game ever to be made next to the orginal RTCW multiplayer. But after Quake wars and BRINK are we back to full circle and a proper heir to ET.

Personnely i feel there a over hyped studio that got lucky once and the modding community saved them going by there last two releases.

Time will tell but i wont be paying for any free beta/ alpha trials they do. I just want to spend £30 on a game and thats it for life, not all this F2P crap these days.

Before I even read the "jump in and shout Brink was poo" I thought brink.
Ps, a new engine and exclusivity doesn't make for a good game.

Looks decent so far. I like the crosshair not having too much pulse. Hopefully the classes play similar to how they did in RtCW MP which was IMO the best. One thing I don't like too much is the movement, strafe speed is stupid slow.

ET is still by far my most enjoyed online game.
I'd absolutely still play it today, same graphics, same everything. Only problem is now every single server is a bot fest. Even if you could find a server with people on it, the numbers are still made up by bots.

Bots killed ET :(
Just use Game Scanner >> http://www.bdamage.se/download.php

You can search for servers with 0 bots on them, easy to find very populated non-bot servers.

I enjoyed brink, ET:QW's i became frustrated with after 3 or so weeks because of the low player count/low skill players. This though seems to be a step up from brink which could be a fun play for a month or so on and off, + your supporting a English dev team and company, compared to the alternative studio's and their countries support staff i'd prefer that these bleed me dry. Any naysayers to this game are obviously Taliban or Merica'n
