According to a remarkably lengthy review penned in Russian, the NC20 is a real stunner. Somehow, Samsung managed to stuff six hours of battery life into a machine with a 12.1-inch display, which ought to please anyone truly looking for ideal netbook functionality. Of course, it didn't fare so well under intense gaming pressure, and even the art of multitasking with three or more applications seemed to bog it down. That said, we are talking about a netbook (and not an ultraportable), and its ability to handle HD video was rather impressive in its own right. So far as we can tell, reviewers were pretty pleased with the overall package given the relatively low anticipated price (we're hearing $500 or so for the US market), but you can draw your own conclusions by giving the read link a visit.

6hrs battery still and 12.1" + 1280x800.

Think the NC10 is going on sale soon :p

I know they made the screen abit bigger but they should have included More and better hardware on the inside than the NC10, theres no difference at all!

should have given it 2Gb's RAM atleast!

The CPU and GFX chip are pretty darn different!

If I do get one then i'll just swap the 2GB from the NC10 :p

Its hardly netbook territory going beyond 10" in my books though. Better off getting a 13" XPS 1330 in that case. Slightly larger screen, bit more weight but a lot more power.

I would be more interested in this as I have a 15" MBP but do not always want to carry it around so the NC20 would be perfect for going on long train journeys etc.

Wasn't there going to be an updated NC10 (or NC11?) that was going to include integrated 3G etc?

Does the NC20 even have it? I can't see it mentioned anywhere

samsung nc10 is a big hit even in times of economic problems, it done really well considering.

nc20 is looking like a big flop to me as previously said too big and not enough horsepower, you might aswell get a decent small notebook.

what they should have done or still need to do is NC11 10" up the resolution a tad, dualcore atom, 2gb ram, 120gb SSD , slightly better gfx chip, tablet/touch screen, intergrated 3G, Matt black finish, flush 9-cell batt. i know i ask for too much :D

But then that would make it way above £300 !

The NC20 at $500 actually seems a bit expensive too I suppose in that regard since the conversion rate isn't too far apart.

Hmmmm.

Samsung already do a 12" netbook what might not be much dearer than this upcoming NC20. The Q210 seems to have better everything basically.

No mention of the Loud speaker Quality !, I think if the Screen and speakers are good this could be a good PC although It looks like the have not made full use of the space with the keyboard etc, but for me they should have braced up the lid and shoehorned a 12" panel into a smaller overall size...It, as some have said is a bit of a low spec laptop now as opposed to a netbook !

£390.99 preorder
A bit too expensive IMO.

It is considering there is nothing much extra over the NC10, but it's still cheaper than most 12-13" Laptops with a battery life as good.

I've been looking for a small & cheap laptop for a while and this might fit the bill as the smaller netbooks don't offer enough screen real estate for me. Just a shame it doesn't have a build in HSDPA modem.

The NC10 will hurt the sales of NC20's hugely I reckon. For that sort of price you'd be better off looking at an XPS series laptop or equivalent.

Open it, then your heart will sink into the NC10's sexiness :)

I am going to buy some metallic gloss plastic spraypaint today to spray my lid a different colour :D
