I cracked out the can of black Plastidip. I'm pretty pleased with the result as the car looks much more aggressive now.
Probably not to everyone's taste but hey, I like it.

Have to say, ":/" was my first impression too. It's a relatively modern 7, not an e46 owned by the local scruffs.

I prefer the chromed kidneys.

I'm in the ":/" crowd as well. It doesn't ruin the looks but neither does it really improve it in my view.

How does this stuff work on chromed plastics? Do you have to apply the primer first then just spray over?

I just applied it straight to the plastic. I washed it and clayed it first though. Seems to be on there pretty good.

Looks pretty good, subtle so no real love/hate. Absolutely lovely car, regardless!

Just bought some of this Plastidip stuff, will have a play around when it comes.

You sprayed without even keying the 'chrome' surface? That will be off in no time once a few stones hit it.

I wanted it to be temporary for the minute to see if I liked it. I will key it properly once I'm happy I want to keep it.
Remember, it's sprayed with Plastidip, not regular spray paint.
