LOL Ronaldo to Utd?? that would be a surprise if it happened as i read somewhere that Real are looking to offer Ronaldo £132mill deal to extend his contract, making him the highest paid player in the world:eek:

Over to you Utd:p:D...think you will have to bankrupt yourselves to get Ronaldo back:p

it's a last resort for madrid otherwise they are forced to sell him utd would have no issues with 200-300 k salary they aren't a poor club like people think

Relieved that the Carroll transfer's over and done with. I honestly thought it would have dragged on all summer. To have got £17.5m (including his loan fee) + a possible £2m more for him - considering his wages, form & fitness over the last 2 years - in a pleasant surprise to say the least.

They did pay his wages but that's neither here nor there. We effectively sold him last season for a down payment of £2m (the loan fee).

I'm genuinely surprised that West Ham have been willing to pay another £15.5m (+£2m). He's been injured on and off since the January we signed him, his form has left a lot to be desired, there's little to no competition for him and it's clear we wanted shot of him.

Or over to you Real, Bankrupt yourself to keep a player who has never looked genuinely happy at Santiago Bernabeau

Sounds like we are getting close to Higuain according to the papers. Would be a nice boost to the summer plus might help a few more bigger stars come.

The reported £22m would be a bargain considering Westhams recent £17.5m purchase

Looking forward to seeing Higuain in the PL, he's not as good as RVP obvs but he'll be a very good upgrade on Giroud. Good signing by Arsenal if it happens

I've not heard anything bar the Thiago and Strootman rumours.

The way Moyes does things though is very understated so I imagine it will all be done behind closed doors until they announce it.

Azza knows what you mean.

Best way imo, I get sick of the constant twitter/internet rumours, just get it done and show me pictures of them holding the shirt up :)

Higuain's an interesting signing. Arsenal badly need a top striker (not just someone with potential), but he's very, very similar to Giroud. Obviously he's better, but why spend that much money on what you have, effectively, already got? Arsenal need a goalscorer - somebody like Jermain Defoe or Javier Hernandez.

I can't think of people of that ilk who are available though...

Brilliant bit of buisness if Arsenal do sign Higuain. Thats not to say he will defo work out, some great players dont, but at least it's the type of quality signing you need to make if you have aspirations of winning things.

However teams like Chealse and City sign 2-3 players of the quality of Higuain every season. This is how far we have fallen at Arsenal. Mr Wenger will probably not sign anyone else this transfer window or in the next couple. And then say LOOK I do sign players!

Yea one!

Not sure about Fellaini tho. Is he any good? I think we just want him becuase he is big and gives us a way to dominate opponents in the middle of the park.

---

Can't say I saw much of Julio Ceasar last season. I know he has played for some big teams, but he seems quite out of shape. A bit of a Kevin Pressman type goally. Some one who very obviously does eat all the pies. However all the most reliable goalies over the years all had one thing in common. A gut!

---

Oh and I have a feeling if we are looking at signing a CB, we will probably sell Vermalean, which will be dissapointing as he is very good, just has lost confidence at the moment.

107 goals in 180 appearances isn't a goal scorer? 20 in 32 for his country also. I doubt Real will be contacting Spurs to acquire Defoe to replace him :p
