Thanks :)

Whats the difference between S and A panels?

Take it S panels are better.

From what I've read/heard the "S" panels generally have better panel backlight uniformity, along with better colour calibration, but that's easily fixable with the OSD.

Must emphasise that I've not seen this with my own eyes other than in photos from other posters on other forums.

Hi there

Just had a truck pull it with several pallits of these on. Once its been off-loaded and booked into our warehouse I shall check this batch to see if they are S panels and report back tomorrow. As of now we have more stock with ample to go round. :)

it doesnt feature hardware 1:1 pixel mapping (just to clear that up from those user comments) but does look an impressive screen :)

Can someone please clarify, I understand the concept of scaling the image without increasing pixel size, i.e. leaving blank bars around the image, but I'm a bit confused by the term 'hardware 1:1 pixel mapping '.
However I assume that you can use centered timings via the options for example with the ATI control panel, which is then doing 1:1 pixel mapping via software, not hardware?

Hi there

Double checked our new stock and the couple I checked were S Panels. So as they are all part of the same batch I assume they are all S panels. Obviously there is no guarantee but the chances are good.

Hi there

There is no guarantee, but obviously your chances are good and as you can see from this thread everybody who has ordered from OcUK has recieved an S panel.

Obviously you are within your rights to return a product within 7 days under distance selling act and its regulations, but returning it will by no means guarantee it will be replaced for an S panel if you got an A, if that makes sense.

We've just had 500 arrive, its impossible to check them all as were shipping circa 1500 orders per day, so as you can imagine were to busy to do such things sorry.

This is the best I can offer which is already much better customer service over other Etailors who don't even have stock yet anyway. :)

oooh just got another call, mine might be coming friday now :)

Just out of interest how much would it cost to post one of these back if it is not up to par?

Cheers,

G

A review i found listed the weight as 16.3 pounds, which converts into 7.4 kg which means according to royal mail's website, it would cost £9.97 to send that weight parcel as standard OR add 68p for recorded delivery.

hth.
