This CPU looks like it could be promising for those who want a Kentsfield processor cheap. We also have the 3220 version as well but believe that won't sell so well due to it been similar price to the Core 2 Quad Pro 6600.

You might wanna change your descriptions... one for the Intel Xeon 3200 Series X3210 has the wrong clock speed

Just a quick question, I know these are meant for servers but would they be just as good as regular desktop cpu's? For things like gaming etc

Server chips are said to be made with better grade silicon than standard desktop chips, so clocking on one chip should generally have the same results as the others. (i.e. they can all hit around 3.5 ok)

lazy: You got a 3210 or on preorder? :)

No, i bought mine from somewhere else about 2-3 weeks ago but had to rma as it was a doa.

When i get round to clocking this thing, if its bad, will order another from ocuk as they are about £40 cheaper than the place i got it and much closer to where i live. :)

there was no mention of a specific competitor, jus saying the price is too high. that is not against the rules as far as i am aware??

Don't try to argue with mods etc. Its a very steep downhill battle that you lose instantly.

What they say goes. :)
