Hello!

Decided recently I would take the plunge and see if I could pull off a water cooling build.

After buying a new Razer Deathadder 2013 & Green LED Ducky keyboard I wanted to have a matching color scheme for my case.

I was really interested by the idea of a Parvum Systems case seeing as it was a little bit different to most things out there and could fit in quite a lot of WC gear for a micro atx case. I opted for a black & green parvum S1.0 case.

The Case
(bit dusty as I've been using it for the last few weeks whilst waiting for all the gear to arrive)

I apologize now for the quality of my photo's, the lighting in my flat at night is terrible. Will try and work on making it better as I progress through the project.

Will hopefully have an update every day.

So first things first I thought I'd unpack everything and make sure I have everything I need.

With everything in order though I'd tackle getting the waterblock for the GPU/CPU sorted tonight before bed.

Off with the GPU cover!

Problem #1: Where did I put my cleaning alcohol again?

Couldn't find my usual cleaning alcohol for the thermal paste on the GPU. With the shops closed, the only thing I could find in my house that could work was...

Probably not everyone's first choice, but hey did the job.

So, with the thermal paste cleaned & new thermal pads placed the block was installed

Now time for the CPU

And the result of tonight's work

Hoping to get most parts installed in the case tomorrow and the rough plans for the loop can take shape.

I do like the sound of a vodka cooled computer, maybe one day!

Quite happy with today's progress, though I found an error in my original plan that will hold me up for a day or two, but more on that in a bit.

After waking up I cleaned up the case and mounted the motherboard.

Loving the clean look and amount of room available in this case

Next I started assembling a mock draft of the loop and components using some spare tube I've got.

I think the final result will look quite similar to this, however my initial plan to have a X-Flow Rad mounted on the front panel of the case is a no go.

I found that the xflow radiator was a few mm to big for to fit properly, so couldn't be mounted. The plumbing required to connect the first xflow rad to the second got a little too tight as well. Not that it would have been impossible to do, but I will just send back the rad and have ordered a normal XSPC 240 rad in it's place.

I will also need to change the RAM sticks to something that is green as the red stands out way to much at the moment. If anyone has any recommendations then please do say!

Hopefully the new rad will be with me tomorrow afternoon and I can continue working on this!

Looks good dude :D
Hoping to get started on my Parvum soon, should have been delivered Yesterday, been rearranged to come to work instead :D

Not sure whether i should start a project log or not.
