If so, what have you got?
Where do you drive?

My RC garage currently consists of:

Shumacher ProCat - Awesome car. Had one when I was 15. Regretted selling it for 15 years. Just got another one. Happy now.
Mtroniks RV Max, Reedy 12x2, BlueBird HS servo

Yokomo MR4-BC - Incredible value kit for £90. Bit fragile though.
Mtroniks Viper RV15, Aurora 15x1, Futaba HS servo

Yokomo MR4-BC Special - Graphite version of above with lots of trick parts.
Ripmax Volcano Xtra, Reedy 9x1, BlueBird HS servo

Tamiya Mad Bull - Stupid stadium truck thing. Upgraded with decent dampers and fully ball raced. With a 11x2 Orion in it, it can rip its tyres off the wheel hubs.
Mtronics Msonic Max, Orion 11x2, rubbish Futaba servo.

Tamiya Fighter Buggy RX - Smash and crash toy.
Tamiya stock ESC, Tamia 23 turn, rubbish Futaba servo.

Hoping to add another ProCat and a Losi XXX4 in the near future.

Yep two procats here :D , had them both from when I raced rc back in the early ninties. Just bought a Tamiya re-release of the Ford Escort WRC and stocking up on parts for it ;) it's a car I always wanted but never got the first time round.

You can still get new bodies for the procats directly from the Schumacher website to help tidy them up if you're interested.

Currently on the look out for a Yokomo yz-10 dogfighter

The ProCat and MR4-BC special are round my mates place after running them at the weekend. The Fighter Buggy EX is in it's individual constituant parts at the moment so isn't much to look at.

What are they like? They look like really good fun.

Soooo good! They can take shorter grass, also done jumps in them. Have a huge laugh in my garden but its slightly too small so no full power. They look so fast at 30mph, and that was with a £3 motor. ;) Thats the brilliant thing about them, the parts and all are cheap. Lots of fun up and down my road aswell, plenty of space for it. Id recommend going for an offroader due to it will not be picky with the road surface.

You can cheaply get brushless motors for them which really do make them shift, the record is about 55mph but thats just crazy.

The RC18T is a good one to get speed and handling all cheap. I went for the Team Factory version so it had more upgrades and also i got to build it.

Fully recommend one, been less hassle then my nitro car. Only broke an arm when i went into a 1:10 scale leccy offroader as some speed. :o

Ok for the best 1:18 forum it would have to be a mixture of 2.

www.one18th.com
www.maxbashing.com - Leccy section.

One18th also sell the best brushed motors for the rc18t in the shop section.

www.rc-direct.co.uk

They have quite a few 1:18 scale upgrades in the UK, i have used them before and have been quick.

If you want an RTR go for the RC18MT instead of the RC18T, it comes with a better stock motor, if you do get it then goto the below url and get some 7 cell packs. Some packs are called RC18T ones, just make sure you say in a comments box (if there is one, cant remember) that its for an RC18T. Then the connector you need is the 'Hpi/Mini-T Style Plug.' Oh yes go for either GP1100 or IB1200's really, if you want the best then get the IB1400's. I personally recommend the IB1200's.

www.maxamps.com

The only problem with them was the outdrives on the diffs use to bend apart, but i think they come from factory now with a metal sleeving over them, if not then just contact TA and they will send you some free. It totally sorts the problem out.

Just to let you know my mate uses an RC18MT completely stock except for the 7 cell battery pack and it copes fine and is a right laugh! Have loads fo fun when a carpark was covered in a sheet of ice.

If you need more info, just shout.

I used to be really into racing, kinda lost interest though, this used to be my setup though

iirc it was:
Team Associated RC10 B3
Novak Cyclone C2
Team Orion Chrome 10x2
stupidly fast KO propo server 2123?? 0.08secs 60deg!!
Futaba 3VC radio

I used to race it every week

Started many moons ago eith a Hotshot 2, then upgraded to an Optima Mid Custom Special (wish I'd never sold it :( ).

Stopped racing for a bout 10 years then got back into it about 5 years ago.

I currently race an RC10 B4 and a Xray Evo 2.

Occasionally race at the local club (Frodsham), but you can usually find me racing in the Border counties league and Mid West Regionals with my B4.

I really like RC cars and have a RC nitro but it just takes way to much maintenace to keep the thing going, its a HPI RS43 with a fair few alu parts.

How much is it to get into leccy cars similar to the RS4, something fast and sturdy ?

Ive got currently in the garage:

1 x Schumacher Cat 2000
2 x Schumacher SST2000 Touring Cars (one rally converted)
2 x Associated TC3 Touring Cars (both hopped up to the max)
2 x Yokomo YR4-SP2's (at least I think thats what they are called, its been a while)
about 10 assorted 1/12 scale pan cars, ranging from trinity switchblade sj's to the latest associated and yokomo cars.
1 x old school Traxxass 2wd buggy which I forget the model number of
1 x Kyosho (yeah, remember these guys!) 4wd buggy which again I forget the model number of, which is recently restored.

I "think" thats all I have. I majoritively have radio gear for them all, all running 40MHz PCM FM receivers, and controlled by one of my two Esprit II Vantage stick controllers (can't stand pistol grip controllers).

I gave up racing nationally about 4 years ago, but have plenty of trophies and cups to show for my talents  Out of all the circuits Ashby Woulds was my favourite, that large sweeping banked corner is awesome!

Me and my father used to run http://www.macctrack.co.uk, until it was arson attacked  That pretty much ended my racing life. Although when I have money again, I WILL return to the sport, especially in the outdoor summer 1/10 scale Touring Car events.

I have a few nitro cars too, but never raced those.

I have a couple of RC cars but my new hobby is remote control planes :p its very costly and heartbreaking but great fun!

Leccy or Nitro? I have 8 leccy planes (damn is it that many now? :o ) and just building my first nitro one.
