just got my ocuk 3800 X2 good stepping?

thats nice to know

i've got a LDBFE 0623WPCW

but will hold off overclocking for a few days just to see how its working - i'll let you know how it goes.

dC2006 - any reason why you went for a 9 multiplier?
i've just seen your ram at 1:1 - is that right? 300 seems very high for ram - what have you got?
if i could get 2700 i would be very happy ;)

Hi got my x2 3800 today LDBFE 0623WPEW

does 9x300 1:1 with ram @ 2.5-4-4-7 using artic 64 pro cooler

WOW... thats an excellent overclock on air. 2.7Ghz running on a 300Mhz Fsb & Memory timing must give you one nippy PC! That Geil Ultra memory you have seems absolutely fantastic!

I got my x2 3800+ today. Its a LDBFE 0623 XPMW. As above, Im just leaving it stock for a few days to make sure all is stable. Only thing Ive installed is the Dual Core Optimizer and so far so good.

yes its 2 sticks of 512mb, bought from ocuk :D Geil pc4400 ultra-x tccd, it could do 9x310 1:1 @ 2.5-4-4-8 with my opty 144.

Ordered mine from a competitor yesterday, delivered this morning :D

Went straight for 10x260. Boots into windows fine and seems ok, ran S&M and it locked the computer up in 30 seconds, no error messages, just a total lock up. backed off to 10x250 ran the same torture test on both cores and it passed with flying colours :D

Temps on both cores reached 62 degrees! didnt seem to effect stability in the slightest but still a bit toasty. Not suprising really seeing as I am unable to sit in the room with the computer as it's far to hot, using a scythe ninja and a yate loon 44CFM fan (not the best but its totally silent :D ).

Hoping I can reach 2.6 when the weather cools a bit so I can run my 3500ll at 1:1 on the 166 divider.

Probably needs more VCORE but the best I can give it is 1.4 due to using the dual-sata2. 25% overclock isn't bad for a chip just over £100 :D

Not so happy here - mine is a LDBFE 0623WPEW as well, it runs fine at 10x220, but won't boot into Windows at 10x240, which I was hoping for. Speedfan shows Core 1 at 1.31 Vcore, but core 2 at 1.17 vcore? What's going on here? I don't like upping the vcore much, so I tried it at 1.35 in the BIOS (i.e. not at Auto) and it made no difference.

My RAM happily did 250 on my 3700 SD, and I'm running the same timings, I've flashed the BIOS to the latest DFI one (329)...

Not happy :(

Hi, noticed one problem with going from single core to dual core, heat ! Even getting my x2 3800 stable at 2.7ghz I found out that what ever I ran, prime, superpi32, games etc.. after about 40mins - 1hr i would get a crash, which most likely means some component getting very hot and making system unstable. Or the cores just making each other unstable due to heat. I guess this is when water cooling kicks in and air cooling phases out. At 2.6ghz there are no problems.

Compared to my opty, if I put my hand over the case blow holes, the warm air is much warmer than before.

My 3800+ was delivered just now so I will be testing tonight

I think the CPU will be at stock speed for under 5 minutes :p straight to 2.5Ghz or more
Nice one - is the stepping a LDBFE 0623WPEW like mine? If you can, have a look at what the vcore is on both cores. It's like my 2nd core is in power saving mode or something...
