The *Official* Crisys Thread

I think he's pointing out the spelling mistake you've made on Crysis.

I'm hoping for a 360 version.

how you going to play fps game with joystick

I don't have to have ultimate reactions and aim like I used to, I want to enjoy the experience in a relaxed manner.

i think fps should be played on pc, i playd halo on xbox then on pc big difference

Most people do, and I understand the differences and advantages. I don't want to use a PC though as the cost will be astronomical and I think I'd prefer it on a console anyway.

As for that game, yes there was a big difference, the one on PC was dire!

It would help, and possibly avoid embarrassment, if you could actually spell the name of the game you're making an 'official' thread about correctly!

aye it is quite expensive to build good pc for that sort of games

Gonna get cheaper tho after 22nd july, Q6600 for 185 quid

He tried to correct it as you can see, but when you edit the title, the main title you see in the forums is not changed.

If Crysis turns out to be average at best I won't be happy.

Thus the reason I haven't updated my PC yet. (Well graphics card, doubt Crysis will need Quad/4GB)

From the screenshots we have all seen so far, it looks like Crysis will have the most advanced graphics compared to any other games, not to mention the physics in the game, some of the videos show you how your able to shoot a tree down, I think thats preety cool and crysis looks very realistic, I wont be surprised if SLi 8800GTX and a quad core system struggles, but then again I hope my system will run crysis and by the time crysis is released my rig will be composed of a C2Q6600, 2gb Corsair ram and 1 8800GTX.

willhub your sig's filesize is above the maximum allowed 20KB.

Crysis will be fine on lower end systems (just at lower settings), they've stressed time and time again that they're working on largely varying levels of detail to make this possible.

I heard the stuff we've seen so far has been running from a single 8800GTS or a single GTX, not sure though of course.

Then again another 2GB of DDR2 is like 55 quid now, and Quad Core is going to be about 150 quid next month not that expensive I guess.

Still though, I'm hoping the graphics card will be the main factor in running Crysis. :)

I think the price of the lowest Quad core which will be the Q6600 will be £185, at the moment I find it too good ot be true, these super fast CPU's coming down to such low prices, one can only imagine what monsters will be available for the price of the QX6800.

I also would not be surprised if with Crysis you get to a certain graphics level and 2gb ram could be struggling, especially in Vista with DX10 . It make me feel better when I hear about the X1900XT that apparently was able to run Crysis at fairly high settings too, if this is true, shows how well optimized this game is, none of this porting garbage :D

If I can run Crysis at 1440x900 as good as we've seen it so far in the videos with a 8800GTS I'll be more than content. If not then I can stretch to a GTX I guess.

I'd really rather not upgrade the rest of my system as there's no real need too. :)
