According to the Guardian online, Madeline McCanns parents are considering releasing a cover version of Bryan Adams song "Everything I do, I do it for you":

The McCanns also said they were considering releasing a cover version of Bryan Adams' hit song (Everything I Do) I Do It For You to raise money for their campaign.

"That song best reflects how Kate and I feel emotionally, and how determined we are to continue searching for Madeleine," he told Sky News.

Am I the only one who thinks this desperate crusade has gone just a little too far now?

Whilst feeling sorry for them, I'm really tired of seeing this in the news now. The only bit of McCann news I'm interested in now is they've found her.

Not sure why they need to raise *more* money. Last I heard they had nearly £750k in the fund.

Even I — who defended their actions before — can see this is getting tedious now.

This is what we could all see before. Flying around in jets, visiting various countries, all to absolutely no avail and, crucially, all at nil cost to them.

Ridiculous opinions like that undermine the legitimate opinions of those of us who feel they are PARTLY responsible.

Solely responsible? Oh please.

You'll be waiting a long time.

I'm not going to bother responding to the rest of your sentence, as it doesn't make any sense. How can they be solely responsible? They didn't abduct her.

agreed - well mostly their fault for leaving her anway, I know its a devastating thing to happen to lose a child but children go missing in England every day and theres not a bit of press coverage or people setting u[ funds etc

its getting towards the time to look to the fact, shes not coming back as sad as it is

ok maybe not solely but majority was their fault, you just don't leave kids in a foreign country on their and now they're just milking it.

do they not say if they're not found within 2 weeks they're most likely dead ?

If they're not careful they're going to turn the public against them in a sort of "get off the stage" fashion.

Tell me the Mirror still don't have "Prey for Madeleine" on the front cover?

Well, the jet flights weren't for a ride, they were to appeal in the countries they were told she might of passed through. Remember that the coverage of the abduction has only been heavy in the UK and Portugal. Other countries in Europe will of done light coverage, so the boost in publicity over there might possibly help. So I couldn't criticise them over that.

However I can criticise the point of releasing a cover song. They already have donations coming in, releasing a song into the UK where everybody already knows Madeleine is missing will do nothing. Absolutely nothing other than waste fund money that could be far better spent.

The TV advert gets on my jacobs as it is. Some bloke down the road has a poster in his window for her. This is in Kent, wtf is that going to do.

They'd be better off starting to grieve for their loss now, rather than dragging it out publicly like this. People already have mixed feelings towards their actions - too much more of this will seal their fate imo.

Well that doesn't surprise me. Newspapers like that appeal to the lowest common denominator. The press are far more guilty than the McCanns for spinning this story so ridiculously.

If that is true I request a sick bag while I gush up my lunch. The McCanns are starting to annoy me, they need to deal with their mistake and move on.

If they do release that record (possibly one of the worst songs ever written btw) anyone that buys it should be sterilised due to them exhibiting terminal stupidity.

I am sure some second rate charity and record company profitting from emotional blackmail will help to bring the unfortunate child back just in the same way that releasing ballons or the Pope blessing her picture did.

When will the madness end?
