The E8400 looks like the best deal atm E8500 is too much for just 160 Mhz :eek:

I wonder how much these quads are gona be in price gif info now :P
 
Just if AMD could push something that was even just a little bit better than the current quads from intel we would see intel's new quads within a week lol!

Depends on how much Intel is speed binnng these babies, I saw a review somewhere where a 8400 sample didn't clock nearly as high as the 8500 they had.
 
do you need ddr3 for these ? would they work in a p5b deluxe wifi? are they going to overclock well ?
You don't need DDR3. A quick look on your motherboard manufacturers site shows your board will support the new 45nm chips, although you will probably need the latest BIOS.
 
Little more than I expected to be honest. Not too bad considering, though. Guess prices'll settle down a bit in a couple of months when I get a bit more money coming my way, though.
