New iMacs/Minis Tomorrow?

I'd be a bit peeved, as I've just recently spent the thick end of £500 on a mini...

I just spent just over £600 on a new iMac as well! Thats the thing with Apple though, you could spend years waiting for the refreshes, my iMac does what I want it to do so ******* to it.

I bought an iMac last week, 24"

Am I fussed about the updates tomorrow? Nope, I bought mine knowing full well that an update is due, and I was expecting a bigger update than what they are mentioning

For what I need the machine for, the current spec is more than powerful enough

To be fair, all I'd be jealous of would be more powerful integrated graphics... My mini has the dreaded Intel GMA 950 which is garbage. Still, I've got HL2 running on it and just about persuaded Portal to work, which is about all I wanted on the "new" games front. I'm happy playing older stuff with the integrated graphics.

Hell, for any actual work it's more than enough. It's not like I bought it for its gaming credentials.

Hoping it's true, a silent Tuesday update is not uncommon but not how many saw these products being updated.

The Mini's supposed pictures of being an old design would make sense if it's gonna be a quiet push.

Remember the iMac is using a laptop infrastructure.

I can't see them releasing a quad core iMac when the 17" MacBook Pro was only fitted with a C2D. I think that would have been the first indication.

To be fair it's been rumoured of a new Mini early this year for a while though.

I was going to get a new one to replace my old Mini which had the logic board go, but I really don't see the need now with my 2.4ghz Macbook (cost £600 from refurb store).

Maybe I'll just wait for a mac pro then. Really expected the imacs to be quad core by now!
