Here are some pics of the strongman training Paz kindly organised for us.

FYI - the tyre weighs about 90kg, the Keg is about 45kg - the smaller keg I'm not sure of the weight, and the van is over 2 tonnes - the hill we were pulling is slightly uphill (not much in it really) and it's all rather hard work!

Let's kick off with Jonny shoulder pressing the lighter keg:

Onto mr Semi Pro Waster who did bloody marvellously - even with the lower weight keg he still got 40 reps, only to be beaten by a stirling effort of 42 by Jonny!!! :D

That rope does not look kind! I slid down something similar when I was about 8 out of tree - didn't have finger prints for about 4 months.
 

Only noticed the sign over PAz's shoulder just now, wasn't intended as a caption but .... :p

Pretty tiring but very good fun, I'm looking forward to a pint tonight and a good sleep - the latter might swiftly follow the former if I'm not careful. :D

Volcs: the rope was not at all nice but it got a whole lot easier near the end when it was the thicker of the two ropes which was just as well 'cos by that point I was pretty knackered - I can't speak for anyone else.
 
Personally I did a few stretches before and after, but nothing drastic. I'll do some tomorrow when I'm all seized up! :D

It was really really good fun. And definitely up for doing it again :)
 
Looks like awesome fun. I reckon it must be twice as hard if you're used to standard gym equipment. There's tyres, logs and kegs at my gym but I haven't added them into a routine yet - feeling inspired now though after those pics :)
 
Awesome day - awesome pics. Holy **** I got me some veins!

Hopefully we will have the steels next time for the farmers walk!

Good effort from all involved and very much enjoyed shouting at you all :cool: Good fun to train with guys who really want to just ******* train their hardest :)

EDIT: 7 reps on the keg for me. 18 for you? 20 for Stu
