Enjoy :)

Want. How much were these going for again? :D

£335 for 120GB.

It's hard to make a case for these when you can get a couple of 64GB c300's RAIDed on your onboard and achieve the same performance for £100 less.

If they brought out the originally proposed expansion boards for 4drive stripes there'd be a case for them, since onboard caps out around 600MB/s. As things stand though they arn't anything special.

It's a shame as there's a real market for people wanting to stripe three or more SSD's, but who can't afford to spend hundreds on an enterprise grade controller. If OCZ could mass produce and get decent 4 port SATA-III RAID controllers out for less than £75 they'd have a hit on their hands.

Well considerably cheaper because we are about to launch 50Gb and 80GB versiosn aswell. A Revo for every pocket :D

Very nice, lets hope OCZ can get trim on these, but I doubt it.

These drives will be nice for people looking for tidy installs with having no power or sata cables to route through out the pc.

The specs on these are very appealing, as is the general idea of booting from a PCI-e slot rather than SATA.

That said, as it stands there is no TRIM or any other kind of garbage collection, so their performance can be expected to degrade significantly as time goes on.

Still tempted though :p

At least with the 2.5" and 1.8" S-ATA SSD's you can stick them in any old machine when you upgrade. At least that was my plan, to upgrade laptop when replaced desktop drive.

No Trim support.
No Garbage collection.
Can't be defragmented.
Not for me I guess.

1) As I understand it, as long as you ghost an image across every now and then you won't need Trim support because the new image will be fresh.

2) Same for garbage collection I believe.

3) You don't need to defrag SSD's, so no problems there

4) Correct me if I am wrong on the above!

Still waiting to buy either 3 64GB C300's and raid em or one 120revo.. depending on how these pan out
