I can confirm the German results are fake.
Well, my 6970 from Sapphire arrived.
They've specifically gave a download exclusively to the latest drivers which truly unlock the performance, and it's beating a stock 580 in Heaven, albeit the max FPS is a little lower.

6970.png

yeah of course you did.
And imaginary 6970.

Lets look at the evidence..........

here is a variety of haven benchmarks
########################################
and they all got one thing in common.
########################################
can you spot it?
########################################
Yes the average fps is multiplied by common denominator.
Ie its 25.1875 and then the figure is rounded off to give you the score.
Try it on your Heaven benchmarks.
########################################
Martini 6970 - LOL - 67.7*25.1875 = 1705.2 not 1729
Thats a difference of 25 marks. To put it another way, FPS = 68.645
########################################
Its safe thing to say that these are not magical drivers that he downloaded.
And that these magical drivers are probably not coming for the 69## series.
#########################################
This is probably his Xfire 6870 OC run with some edits added.
#########################################
This is bs at its best.

6970 X-fire = 108*25.1875=2720

6870 in X-fire = 55.9*25.1875=1407.98

5970 = 61.2*25.1875 = 1541.475

A 580GTX OC = 68.8*25.1875 = 1732.9

My 470 SLI on the RIGHT 88.7*25.1875 = 2234.1

Ran this earlier, 6870 Crossfire - Stock

Same settings, 1980x1080

FPS - 63.9

Scores - 1610

Min FPS - 23

Max FPS - 151.7

Do they add up, or fit the logic?

I believe he posted that to prove a point, that it is easy to fake Unigine results.

I'm surprised so many people fell for it when he clearly hinted it by saying those German results might be fake...

??? what logic is that ???
He faked it because he wanted to prove the point that german results were fake?

The fact is German guys have the 6970 and Martini hasnt. And their results tally up with today's reviews.

Skyrocket, I appreciate your effort in showing up the true results of 6970s but seriously dude, you need to chill.

Couldn't you have written all that in a more appropriate form?

As Obi-Wan-Kenobi once said "Who is the bigger fool, the fool, or the fool which follows the fool?". Plenty of people here used Martini's unproven results to justify purchase of their 6900's or to give the 6900's undeserved praise.

The only results that were backed up came from a bunch of German novice owners, and guess what - they were right!. The fact that people wanted to believe someone who posted one unverified benchmark over someone who posted many photos and many benchmarks says more about what certain persons wanted to believe, rather than any use of basic judgement.

You mean not red that blends into the background a bit too well and by spelling 'heaven' correctly? :o

I dunno maybe it's just the contrast on this XL2410T that makes the text difficult to read. ;)

its unreadable and a little childish.
I have no issue with you calling out Martini but by the tone of this you sound like some spoilt child.

I think you don't understand the issue here, Martini1991 posted a Unigine result that uses the driver that isn't available anywhere atm and was rumoured to boost the performance by quite a margin.

Taking into account that his CPU is clocked at 4.2GHz and that there was (is) another driver on the way (that officially supports 6800 and 6900), there wasn't anything wrong with giving him a benefit of the doubt.

Guys this fella posted fake results and lied about the special performance of the 6970?
It misled a number of people on here, something which u don't expect from forum
Members.
An yet u guys are bitching at me because I used the wrong colour font?
Seriously French tart, the only thing u can contribute to this forum is to make a goodbye thread.

So he fakes a result big deal, I like Martin, and from the majority of his posts he's seems a very decent guy, he's not some angry little fanboy. He has my forgiveness.:D

Martini started his post with "I can confirm that the German results are fake". They obviously were not fake so Marini discredited himself with his very first staement. Why should anyone believe him when absolutely no proof was provided other than one easily phoshopable benchmark.

Good spotting there skyrocket.

There is just no excuse for fabricating results, especially so close to a new release when the cards were available to buy (from OcUK), but no official performance information was available. Pure attention-seeking / trolling. He may well have influenced people into buying a card that they otherwise wouldn't have, and that's really not on.

You're not alone - I had to highlight the text in order to read it without my eyes melting into my skull :p

Anyone who openly lies on the public forum loses all creditability in my eyes.

He might have thought so if his results were surprisingly higher in the first place and he didn't do a comparison with older drivers.

forget the drivers man we need to find the DrunkenMaster's secret switch that gives the 6970 unlimited poweh! The damage control from the ATI fanboys is reaching the borderline of insanity. I support skyrocket my tone would be even worse especially if I was misled into buying one at midnight.
