I'm surprised this hasn't garnered much talk in the music forum, but I guess after their last few albums it's maybe no huge surprise. I'd pretty much given up on the Foos ever producing another 'Colour and the Shape' quality record again myself.

Now, that being said, they've embarked on a really well executed teaser/drip feed campaign (not quite as good as Nine Inch Nail's 'Year Zero' but pretty damn good).

Most recently this has taken the form of a 30 second teaser and some live YouTube footage the band have been linking to themselves. In short, this album sounds like it could be their best in over a decade and I cannot wait to hear it in its entirety.

So first up, the thirty second teaser:

Now onto the really meaty stuff, the videos that have me thinking they're really back.

What do you guys think?

Really loving the new stuff and am absolutely biting at the bits for April to come around so I can hear the whole album :)

Looking forward to hearing the whole "Bridges Burning" song - I think I've listened to that teaser over a hundred times :p :)

Nice, new stuff sounds good. Yeah a lot of their recent stuff hasn't been up to much but their song 'The Pretender' is awesome. love it :)

I really liked 'The Pretender' as well and it was certainly their best track in a long while, but it still sounded a lot more polished, and almost made for radio than the 'Colour and the Shape' stuff - i.e. 'Everlong' or 'My Hero'. The new stuff appeals to me so much because it sounds so much rawer and more vital.

I hope its not another 1 or 2 tracks like the pretender and all my life which set the bar high which the rest of the albums just couldn't get close to. There is nothing left to lose was a great album as well.

The way they recorded this album sounds very interesting and hopefully will give it all a hard sounds.

Colour and The Shape was awesome. Nothing Left To Lose was alright. After that it was all tosh apart from one or two good tunes.
I find I've spent more time listening to Dave Grohl's side projects than any of the Foos stuff now. His drumming on Songs For The Deaf was absolutely jaw-dropping.

Some interesting bits on here :) 101.5 sounds very tasty! May be worth keeping an eye on here too as I think more "stations" are added occasionally.

*Noticed it doesnt like Google Chrome, but IE and Firefox both appear to work fine
