First of all I have to say I'm not convinced about Twitter at all.

BUT, it is popular and I have to open my eyes to its possibilities. Therefore if any of you want to follow me, I'm @markproudfoot

There's nothing there right now, but that's because I'm not Tweeting to myself. So let's see what happens

Without wanting to hijack the thread - can tweet experts help explain what the deal is with Twitter? Or is it just a tool for following celebrities and their shennanigans?

I use it for real time updates from bands I'm following. Much better for news than the occasional blog posting. Also, I like following Mos Def simply because he does nothing but give people ****.

You get to post/read updates and share/visit links posted by others. Lots of celebs use it too, not a bad marketing tool.

I use it for work as well as a lot of SharePoint consultants on there share blogs and interesting finds which is really useful to keep up to date with. I also talk a lot of crap really.

I use it mostly for the comedy accounts, that and a few fitness related feeds.
