Follow me on Twitter

Without wanting to hijack the thread - can tweet experts help explain what the deal is with Twitter? Or is it just a tool for following celebrities and their shennanigans?

It's one of the only sites that aren't blocked at work, I use it for giggles, news updates, people what upload to youtube usually notifies twitter of a new video, ROM developers usually post saying they've released a new candidate, just keeping in the loop with friends, and listening to Charlie Sheen going mental.

All in one centralized place. And on a mobile friendly platform.

Follow me and I'll add y'all back :D

I tweet about various articles I've been asked to write and some filming stuff. I also swear a lot because I can't swear on here and my parents are 'friends' with me in Facebook :(

Fail. My mum tried to add me and I just ignored it and explained no ****ing way José.

What's wrong with having your parents on Facebook?

My dad's had an online presence since Bebo!
I don't really put anything incriminating anyway as I don't want future employers to think I'm an idiot. (I'm not an idiot, I'm really clever! Honest!)

I suppose it depends on the nature of your relationship with your parents, as well as what kind of parents you have.

If you're generally guarded about your love life and prefer your private shenanigans 'with the lads' to remain private (that sounds dodgy but you know what I mean), then I advise against it. I also advise against it if your mum is the type to say 'I saw xxx said yyy on your wall...is everything ok?'.

If however your mum is your best mate, then go for it.
