Next Day delivery - now upgraded to Saturday delivery for no additional cost only for the Easter Wee

Hey all.

We have upgraded our next day shipping option to Saturday shipping for this Easter weekend. You can order anytime between now and 4:30pm tomorrow evening and obtain Saturday shipping for the standard next day shipping costs (UK mainland & DPD next day option).

To take advantage of this great offer, add the products you wish to order and upon the checkout process you can select Saturday delivery for the same price as the standard DPD next day option.

Its a nice idea indeed and I'm sure many will take advantage of it. Me just like oli356 don't actually need anything though.

No it does not, I've just tried a dummy run and (as always) Free Shipping is a separate option to Next Day (payable) delivery.

You can test it yourself and see without actually having to commit to submitting an order.

I just called OcUK, any orders placed today will not be delivered on sat they will delivered on Tuesday.

As long as you selected Saturday on the checkout you will get delivery on Saturday.

My sales team know of the shipping upgrade.

For forum members next day (Tuesday in this case) should be free.

However to upgrade to Saturday shipping then forum members will have to pay the standard next day shipping cost. You are still saving a huge amount.

So in simple terms:

Order today with the free shipping = Get it Tuesday.
Order today with DPD Next Day delivery = Get it Saturday.

Very cool, basically you're charging the slandered delivery rate for this Saturday only, due to the Easter bank holiday.

I don't think so, as most couriers will be on holiday, if you order tomorrow it probably be picked up Saturday for Tuesday delivery.

Doh' I guess the checkout page is wrong then, or doesn't know of holidays.
