avoid guys, its more of the same dross from EA

i got all excited when they said race across america.

i nearly wet myself during the intro when the talked about a 3500 mile race :)

imagine my bitter dissapointment then to find myself 2700 miles across america after 2 hours of driving :(

epic failure of a game. i mean i like arcade racers and i dont expect sim perfect physics from NFS but seriously, i'm driving a porsche RSR flat out north of 200 and a cop car catches me from a dead stop and shoots past me in 5 seconds. its that bad its beyond funny.

might be worth a punt if you like to turn your brain off and keep the throttle pressed down all the time but unless you like your games beyond simple, dony bother. same as you dont need to bother with any kind of car control or even using the brakes it seems

it does have some micheal bay worked cut scenes where you get to participate with all of 2 or 3 press the right button at the right time actions. so glad i didnt spend my hard earned on this tbh.

oh for the want of a decent arcadish gt4/forza 4 type game on our beloved pcs

i was just going to ask about this game so thanks mate ill avoid..

most wanted was always my fave NFS game and this looked a lot like it...

Yes avoid this garbage, 30fps lock and no in game AA options, same old crappy gameplay, they have milked this franchise enough now, time to let go.

it's fun for what it is, the single stage's in challange mode add's more substance aiming for golds or platinums. Certainly more of the same as previous NFS game goes so IMHO worth a shot if you like the series...

30 FPS lock!

Direct console port, now this is not necessarily a bad thing if the game in question is good, seeing as it's not avoid it.

could have been a decent time waste but when that time waste works at over 12 quid an hour for a 2hour campaign no thanks.

Failboat EA

I'm tempted to 'try' this, unless there's a demo? The only problem there is that if I do, and it is only a few hours long, I most certainly won't be buying it.

Most Wanted was a fantastic Need for Speed game. Top of my list. After that, I have fond memories of Hot Pursuit 2.

I've always hated racing games that werent silly (mario kart, car fighting games etc) but a few i really did like like a few NFS because they made you feel so hardcore.

I played this at a friends, completed it same day, it's sad really.

well its not 2 hours your actual in game racing works out about 2 hours 20 minutes but by the time you add in load times and pointless cutscenes it pads out to double that

Little surprise, its just yet more EA drivel attached to the well known NFS franchise.

The hope for a Forza or GT type game for the PC went when NFS Shift 2 released. Granted, its about as close as you'd get but its still a long way off the likes of Forza 4 or GT5

However - really, 2 hours actual gameplay?? That is very poor indeed. Doesn't sound too good, yet was an advert for this very game on tv last night and seemed to show you more of the game with some guy running around then actual driving... Guess that’s why. There isn't a lot of driving to be had lol
