you might want to take a look at C.A.R.S. its based on the dhift 2 engine, but this game looks like it will have proper simulation handling :)

still havent got round to buying an alpha membership yet

get off your high horse.

try before you buy. and i wont change my ways as long as games companies continue to turn out dross like this. if it had been a decent in any way shape or form game i would have bought it and enjoyed it.
 
Anyone got this?

Installed it today but ive only actually finished one race because it crashes all the dam time!

EDIT: Enabling v-sync seems to have fixed the issue.

Words actually fail me.

Next it will be about your rights, etc. Play a demo then, read a review - it's what they are for.

You do not have the right to download games for free and play them.

Also wish Mods would ban people for openly admitting this.

Don't go thinking you're gods gift. Over half the forum will download games or TV shows from usenet / torrents but they aren't allowed to admit it.

Except a lot of modern games don't have a PC demo and I expect this game is no different.
 
epic failure of a game. i mean i like arcade racers and i dont expect sim perfect physics from NFS but seriously, i'm driving a porsche RSR flat out north of 200 and a cop car catches me from a dead stop and shoots past me in 5 seconds. its that bad its beyond funny.

Was the same stuff in NFS undercover

Had a bugatti veyron, doing 230mph+ on the freeway, and I have police jeeps overtaking me, what a joke
 
At least NFS Undercover wasn't capped at 30fps. A mediocre game though, it sounded good on paper and tried to emulate the mighty Most Wanted but failed miserably.

NFS Hot Pursuit was great arcade fun I thought, and not framerate capped either. I hoped that 'the run' would be at least as good as that, except with a story this time. Seems I hoped for too much. Oh well, £30 odd saved.

Shame you didn't like Most Wanted then, I was underwhelmed at first also, but after giving it a chance I ended up loving it and completed it multiple times. Carbon also, much maligned, not as good as Most Wanted but still very good in its own right.
 
This is indeed a dire game to be honest, just completed "The Run" on Normal....definately wont be going back to it thats for sure!
