need for speed "the run"

Knew this was junk last weekend they reviewed it on gametrailers.com & talked indepth about how you cannot even change cars unless you find a garage to drive to  Ludicrous or what then I saw how poorly the Frostbyte2 engine had been used for the non driving sections told me to avoid buying as it does not look any better than Hot Pursuit 2010 (which is excellent BTW).

EA finally drove the NFS franchise into the ground with their blatant greed

avoid guys, its more of the same dross from EA

i'm driving a porsche RSR flat out north of 200 and a cop car catches me from a dead stop and shoots past me in 5 seconds. its that bad its beyond funny. so glad i didnt spend my hard earned on this tbh.
This is the PC game forum, so how did you play the PC verion without opening the box/dvd case?. Once opened you can't return PC games. If you're glad you didn't spend any of your hard earned on this game, how did you aquire it?.

I think he stole it.......and somehow hes allowed to complain. :o wish the mods banned people for mentioning piracy in this way.

Best one for me is NFS: Underground 2.
Yeah thats a good one but I also loved NFSU1 as well as Most Wanted & even Hot Pursuit 2010 was excellent & still looks good now.

Carbon, Prostreet & Undercover may as well have been landfill for me  Bought, activated, installed played less than a few hours each as they are absolutely dire now along comes The Run to join them except I never bought as the console reviews and US PC gamers who got it on Tuesday confirmed what I suspected all along & getting Michael Bay at the last minute to create a game ad & using his name was an obvious last gasp marketing tactic to sell a few more copies

Considering burnout paradise is free on origin I'd say get that if you want a dull, monotonous racer :p.

Yup! and IIRC Need For Speed Hot Pursuit was based on Burnout Paradise, I told the Mrs not to buy it for me.. but she did :o

As grateful as I was... I played it once and canned it to the draw. Utterly awful game!

Agreed. Can't remember the name, think it was burnout takedown or something and it was if I remember the third game in the series. Was really, really addictive and great fun.

then burnout paradise came along, well its free for UK origin users at the moment but its certainly a marmite game. I never really took to it as I went out and get it for the PS3 (back when I got my PS3 in 2007), just wasn't the same..

honestly, hopefully NFS the run bombs and EA drop NFS but they won't... they'll milk it for all they can... Hasn't been a decent NFS game since the first hot pursuit if you ask me.. The recent reboot was rubbish, I foolishly purchased it, hoping for great things.. couldn't even change any AA settings and no incar view..!! lol

as for the op, well sounds like he is complaining about a game he hasn't even purchased, but then he’s done an extended service to OCUK, as not only confirmed the poor reviews he’s stopped anyone wasting money on a possible turkey of a game lol
