Brilliant price for that but i have just bought Asus 6770 for my nephew for £89.99 damm...know it would happen as it always does due to new cards coming out
 
tempting price. will this annihilate my 4870 512mb in 1080 or should I hold on more abit longer.

At the moment i am fine with current my card but if this will be a massive jump i might take it.

It's not double the performance but you won't find anything better for £90 (and a 3 year warranty!) if that's the sort of cash your looking to spend. However wait a bit there might be some cheap 6870's, 6950's popping up in the near future as vendors will look to clear out old stock to make way for the new cards.
 
How noisy are these in real world at idle? I have seen the specs but they are different dwpending on varibles.

Htpc suitable? Or should i spend £50 more on a silent 6850? Im not bothered about load noise.
