I did though I blamed it on the website lol, think my gf would have talked me out of it otherwise. I went for the HD package as I'm not much a sports person outside of motorsport.

I have a pretty average HDTV though so am looking to get something better and a digital sound projector, anyone have any recommendations or experience with the Yamaha YSP/YAS/YHT kits?

Yes and no.

Yes the Sky man is coming this weekend to setup Sky with the HD pack.
But no, because I was already 99% going to get Sky around now anyway for a lot of other content.

Kind of.

It's replaced our V+ package as it was cheaper, plus I wanted the full season in HD, and not the extortionate SD price VM wanted to charge along with Sky Sports.

Sky is so much nicer to use anyway.

I had Sky beforehand and was in the process of cancelling it to get FreesatHD when they announced the BBC sharing deal.

I just cancelled the Sports package instead.

Kind of, had largest virgin tv package anyway. But becuase of f1 added sports and movies.
£22 - month just for f1 or £29 for f1 and movies, of which I will watch a lot of movies. So better value than just getting sports on its own, still utterly disgusted with myself.

no just got my parents skydetails so i can watch sky on my desktop or my sons xbox :D

Good luck if the stream quality craps out like it currently does with big football matches.

Mind you, most of the cars look like lego blocks now anyway so it wont matter :p

lol, the cars are ugly, think I'll be giving Sky Go a miss anyway as my XB died recently.

cant be much worse than the iplayer stream which is what i used to watch anyway :P

I've been given the option of SkyGo from someone, but I need to upgrade my Xbox subscription to Gold. Ideally Id like to watch F1 in HD, so I might yet take the plunge into Sky...

Thought hard about it, decided I would:

Firstly wait and see what the cars pace is like. If it looks like another RB demo year I will hold off a year.

Secondly see what streaming pages turn up.

Pretty much,

But got lucky and the other half is paying for half of it anyway. Actually watch loads on there so pretty pleased with it. We always have loads of stuff recorded ready to watch.

:)

Mine offered that option too :D

Nope, and absolutely no intention to get Sky either.

Virgin would vaguely tempting if a decent package came up with broadband, as I am starting to get sick of BTs lack of interest in my area and subsequent 4Mb max adsl2+ speeds despite being in a city.

As I understand it though, you're looking at silly money to get a TV package including F1 anyway

Was mighty tempted when I just saw th advert of sky 1. They can shove it though, probably won't be able to watch it live, but will still be able to watch it for free.

Nope, not interested in paying VM anymore money than i currently do....that would only change if VM offered the F1 channel as a standalone for the season at a reasonable price and only if it was in HD.

I am however going to try to get my parents to upgrade to Sky HD so i can give this sky Go thing a crack.

No.

Hopefully steams will pick up the slack just like with football.

I tend to full asleep during most races anyway :D.
