Did anyone else get Sky for F1?

Already have everything with Sky.. don't know why they sent us marketing for the channel.. we're already eligible..

Nope, and absolutely no intention to get Sky either.

Sums it up for me. F1 isn't so good a show that I'll fork out for Sky just to watch it.

At present, I watch F1 either at my parents house (Freeview receiver, standard definition big ol' CRT TV) or using my Hauppage Freeview receiver on my PC at home. So going to Sky would require me to buy a TV as well as a Sky package. Just to, as I put it in another thread, "watch F1's twilight years slip by in a haze of poorly thought-out rules, bizarre stewards decisions and dull races in countries that don't give a toss about real motor racing on bland tracks designed by some German bloke".

I don't think so!

Nope I'm being cheap about it :(

That and I just don't watch enough tv to justify it. Last time my mum had sky, about 7 years ago, I used to watch it over breakfast for a little futurama before school. Hardly worth getting for half the gp's this year (just going to have to lump some rubbish streams or messing about with the spare dish)

Nope, F1 isnt that important in my life - hell Ive fallen asleep through some of them, so why pay even more for that privilege :p. Ill enjoy it for the spectacle it is and pick and choose what ones to watch and equally moan about how boring it was ;)

ps3ud0

Kind of.

It's replaced our V+ package as it was cheaper, plus I wanted the full season in HD, and not the extortionate SD price VM wanted to charge along with Sky Sports.

Sky is so much nicer to use anyway.

How did it end up cheaper than VM? I currently pay 35pm for virgin hd and web, and I can't make sky hd with interwebs less than 50.

quick question, is nascar being shown on Sky this year?
The Nationwide series is being shown on MotorsTV, which you can get as part of the basic £20/month package.

The Cup is only being shown on Premier Sports which you have to pay for separately. I don't know how much that is off the top of my head.

Nope, but I already have the full package with HD anyway.

Cheapest way to get sky with the F1 is entertainment (£20) and the HD sub (£10.25). Obviously talk and broadband will add to that.

Getting it before the start of the season, decided faffing about with foreign channels was too much like hard work and wouldn't have been in HD.

I'm going to miss my virginmedia broadband though.

I would if I only had to pay £10 p/m.

I do not watch tv except for police interceptors and top gear which is on the free channels, so no need to have any packages as they will not be watched at all.

I already have a Sky+ HD box. Got it to watch BBC HD for F1 and already pay sky £22 for my Internet. Would up it to £32 to have the F1 channel but not a penny more.

Time will tell if they will let this happen. Very doubtful but you don't know with these money robbing barstools.

You will always need a minimum package with Sky, which is £20. You can't add a HD pack on top of nothing.

And you will want to loose that sweary.

No F1 channel for me then. I would literally not watch any program that comes in any package so a complete waste of money for me.

F1 channel for a 10er p/m and I would happily give.

not sure how you work out £22? Line rental £12.25, BB Unlimited £7.50 and Even with the Talk unlimited that's £5 on top which is £24.75? I'd check if you actually need the talk unlimited as well.

I didnt sign up (at christmas) for F1, however i think with the deals they offer its not much of an expense.

I needed to get a HD freeview recorder anyhow, a humax box is circa £200. I had o2 broadband @ 13.50 a month and BT phone line at roughly £15-18 a month.

I signed up to sky for all 3 services which costs £55 a month (Sky entertainment+ and HD), i obviously then got a HD recorder for free, £100 M&S voucher plus quidco tracking, potentially £125.

I look at it as getting sky TV free for a year!!

I have a sky line with talk unlimited and sky broadband max unlimited and have paid £22 for the last 3 years.
