Hey GD,

So the time at Uni has come where I need to wear a suit for a week for a business thing we have running.

I have a suit and it also has a waistcoat, just debating if I should wear the waistcoat with the suit.
Usually associated more with older, dignified gentlemen of mean. However they seem to have been making the rounds of younger generations and seem to be coming more back in fashion.

So cut a long story short, should I wear a waistcoat with the suit?

Cheers,
Evoss

Its situation dependant. And also if the suit and coat match.

I personally wouldnt bother unless the suit and coat where a matching set

Shirt with a waistcoat and no jacket looks cool. Ideal for warmer weather too. Fact <---- this makes it true.

What type of business is it?

In general I would not recommend a waistcoat.

Computer business, have to design/build a system to display to Microsoft/JP Morgan.

They are a matching set. M&S Autograph Set

In general, waistcoats are badass.
Don't wear if you'll get too hot though

Wont be too hot, weather next week is dire :p

I used to wear a waistcoat quite often at work. Confidence pulls it off. Currently experimenting with pocket squares.

If the suit was sold with it (as you have said it was) then you have answered your own question. Its intended to be worn with it.

Only time I had to wear a waistcoat is when I worked at the Marriot, it was bearable, but only because everyone else was wearing one.

Waistcoat and suit though? no

It's almost as bad as wearing trousers with suspender things that go over your shoulders, you will look like a **** :p
