Seems people are itching to move onto the next position so onto the DM's we go, Initially I was just going to do the Midfield area in 2 parts, your central midfielders (like Modric) and your Creative Attacking Midfielders (like Gerrard) but then due to the limitations of the board that means a lot of players will get overlooked so decided to split it into 3 parts instead.

The nominations I'd like added to the poll are;

Alex Song
Mikel
Lucas
Barry
Tiote
Parker
Fellaini (for Azza)
Other

(I'm aware this may be a bit of an anticlimax given the limited nature of the position/players who play that role)

Obviously if I'm missing anyone speak up now before the poll is made :)

Not exactly a stellar list, but I suppose I rate Parker highest out of those, ahead of Lucas.

after initially thinking he was awful, I have started to have a little respect for Mikel, but would still rate him behind Parker, Lucas and Tiote out of those.

AND WHERE IS CATTERMOLE??:p
 
GOt to laugh at Arsenal fans who pick Song, Arteta has played the role all year and our record without him with Song in the role is shockingly poor. Song hasn't played as DM for the best part of 3 years, and when he played it, he sucked. Arteta this year, Wilshire last year, and the year before we tried Nasri as a defensive midfielder in parts because Song was so fantastic in the role..... here's a hint, a club generally won't sacrifice multiple excellent attacking midfielders into a deep lying defensive role if your DM is actually brilliant, when Wenger drops Wilshire, who was 90% a winger in the previous 2-3 seasons on loan/reserves, in for your DM.... it isn't because your DM is doing a great job.

Tiote or Parker, last season Parker probably, this season Tiote, though Arteta was by and large very good.
