Have you ever made a deal with god?

Mrs S just told me she did when she was on a fairground ride and thought it was starting to loosen, so she made a quick deal with god for it not too break, and she would be good for the rest of her life.

She has failed in the being good part, but she survived the shabby assembly of the gippos!

So, has anyone else ever made a deal with god on a whim?
