UPDATE 1/3/16

So Microsoft have confirmed it.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex coming to Windows 10 PC.

There doesn’t seem to have been a lot more details than that, although Forza developer Turn 10 has confirmed that in the future all Forza games will be made concurrently for PC and Xbox. So that means Horizon 3 oh yes... Phil Spencer has already confirmed it. Already in the works.

WOOHOO This is a great day for gaming.

Older news:

I've just found out about this, not sure if any one has posted here, but if this does happen then I will be extremely happy!!

Rumoured to be coming to the Window Store on Windows 10.

Loved the Forza franchise since day 1, I know it's not a real simulator but it's still great fun, and Horizon online is awesome.

Finger crossed it does happen :D

That's pretty awesome. Although another store is a bit of a blow. How many do we have now?

Halo Wars 2 on the PC would be nice.

I desperately want to play Forza 6, It would be the only reason why I would buy a xbone, as well as Forza Horizon 2, played that over my buddy's house and its awesome.

Keeping my fingers crossed.

Same here, I had a Xbox One last year for Forza 5 and Horizon 2, But I sold the Xbox in the end as I couldn't justify keeping it as well.

Being on PC would be superb, plus Horizon 2 was only 30fps on Xbox One, so on PC 60fps would be very welcome.

Forza is probably a major console seller so it would be unlikely but brilliant if it did, it also runs the risk of just straight console ports to PC so maybe no 4k etc and poorly optimised. I would also assume that some games may be more expensive as customers at the moment may buy it for the xbox and the PC so sales in theory could half.

Forza runs pretty well on the Xbox, so I wouldn't expect it to take too much to make it very nicely on PC.

Although I would expect if this was true, only specific steering wheels would work at launch and a fix for more to work about 18 months later. Sort of thing the industry would do, although MS are trying hard to get gamers on side so might do it properly.

If I remember rightly Microsoft did of proof of concept showing how easy it was to port to PC in a matter of weeks using DX12. Forza was the game used.

Turn 10 being owned by Microsoft Studios I doubt it will be a shoddy port.

MS are clearly starting to wake up & think the Win 10 + PC market is a backup plan due to failing XB1 strategy!

One thing MS got very right with Win 10 was you code a game for XB1 it will work on Win 10 immediately apparently with no extra coding required just a few config file edits & that's it .

They weren't trying to show how easy it was to port to PC, but they definitely showed Forza 5 running with DX12 on the PC just as proof of concept for DX12 in general, given that PC is where it would actually matter most since consoles already have this low level access.

Forza would be great
I'm not kidding when I say I'd happily spend $100-150 on Forza Motorsport on PC. I love that franchise too much and I'm really sad I've had to give it up since I dont want an XB1.

The funny thing is, the X1 isn't failing when compared to like for like sales against the 360. The 360 wasn't considering a failure at the end of the day was it? It's just the PS4 sales have been unprecedented I think they even took Sony by surprise.

Anyway, if this news is true that is great. Having to leave my X1 behind when I move away for a year and just taking my PC so means I can continue to play the X1 games I want.
