** Forza series confirmed to be coming to Windows 10 **

Thing is consoles are never going to compete for power, and the PC is never going to compete for convenience.

I never understand what people mean when they say consoles are more convenient. You can plug your PC into a TV the same way and game from the sofa, you can use any input device you like as well.

I picked up Forza on the xbone back when it came out, but since I couldn't use my G27 I quickly lost interest. If this does come to W10 then I'll be a happy bunny indeed!

You can put me in the happy camp if Forza comes to PC too; pretty much my only missed game from Xbox. I must have sunk countless hours into all the Xbox 360 releases.

not the same at all. all console games work out of the box, numerous pc games do not support other input devices straight out of the box, but you can make it work with other software usually like xpadder or whatever.
so no convenience is still not the same as a console.

If Forza did come to PC it might push me to W10... Maybe

Been on Windows 10 for months now, will never look back, it's a superb OS :)

Nearly every game these days support the Xbox controller.
I do the same thing as a console, plug into my TV, it's far superior for me over a console.

Xbox controllers are plug and play so that's the same as a console, installing games through Steam unless we're talking about very old games, and even then they can work without problems, is pretty much install and play. Just like a console.

my pc is windows based.
1. hurdle would be how on earth do i log in with my xbox controller ;)
let alone driver issues and all that stuff you sometimes need to fiddle with.
it's getting there but it's still not as convenient as a console.

Driver issues are not a factor these days in my experience, I haven't had to actively search for drivers since Windows 7 at least. When doing a format and a fresh install the only thing I need to download are my graphics drivers and in Windows 10 even those were automatically downloaded and installed for me.

As for logging in I don't have that problem because I am the only one who uses the system but it's not exactly inconvenient to use a wireless keyboard/mouse or even a wired one. Also there's the chat pad addon for the Xbox controllers if that were a real problem. It's no more of an issue than it would be if you had multiple user accounts on console that required a password.

Or the conventional normal mouse/keyboard.
Steam big picture also ;)

i guess we all have different ideas of convenience ;)
for me it would be no messing about. Just boot up, start gaming, not including some wireless keyboard i need every now and then :p

Same here I have a PS4, XB1 and PC, if these exclusives do come to PC then it makes my XB1 a paperweight because I only bought it for the exclusives, same with the PS4 but Sony don't tend to port their first party games to PC very often. :)

So Microsoft have confirmed it.

Forza Motorsport 6: Apex coming to Windows 10 PC.

There doesn’t seem to have been a lot more details than that, although Forza developer Turn 10 has confirmed that in the future all Forza games will be made concurrently for PC and Xbox.

WOOHOO!

There you go Tony. It's happening straight from the horses mouth.
