If you have an Nvidia graphics cards it’s recommended that you avoid installing the latest 364.47 and 364.51 drivers for the time being. As reports have been pouring via Nvidia’s official GeForce forums, reddit users, neogaf forums and various sites of the 364.47 GeForce drivers causing a wide range of serious issues and the subsequently released 364.51 drivers having not effectively resolved them as of yet.

Nvidia released new game-drivers for GeForce GPU owners last night. The new set of drivers, version 364.47, bring performance optimisations for The Division and Need for Speed. However, as soon as users started downloading them the internet has been flooded with users reporting all kinds of issues. Ranging from the system failing to boot, crashes, blue screens, infinite restart loops, freezes, losing audio, visual corruption to damaging and burning out graphics cards.

I'm really thinking about switching to Nvidia, AMD drivers suck, game ready drivers missing on launch of a new game. AMD need to catch up and kill my graphics card or windows install on the day a new game launches rather than just provide stable drivers that run new games just fine even without any special profile for them.... ** comment removed - you're just baiting **

It's a new NVIDIA feature for these very cold days! Heat up the GPU to beyond even GTX 480 temps to heat up the whole room! :D

Same money on the gas bill.

I think i'm one of these people struck by this bad luck. It appears my system updated to the new drivers without me knowing. Not sure if it was Geforce experience or not. Anyway lastnight my pc acted up so i restarted it now it stuck in a boot loop. I tried all sorts even clearing cmos which might of made things worse... Now fans spin up for a second and pc shuts straight down. Good times since switching to nVidia not long ago lol.

This is why you SHOULD turn off auto driver updates in windows. the only way you have control is remove ms control. Do it now :)
