007 First Light

I'm close to finishing the game and have enjoyed it throughout. I kind of knew before the game released that IOI would do a good job, but the game is a great piece of work with the attention to detail of each segment is quite amazing. I am also impressed that a game that looks this good plays so well, whereby lesser games in recent times such as UE5 engine games stutter and hitch constantly. I'm hoping that IOI do more Bond games in the future.

Nice, I'll at least be checking out the new Tac Sim challenges (assuming they are free). I can't see myself playing any more campaign/DLC, unless they introduce something to really mix-up the difficulty of the game in a way which changes how I have to approach encounters.

I haven't been able to get HDR to work properly since the last two patches.

I can always tell if it's enabled properly as my MSI OSD turns from Orange to Red.

It still works for me on my MSI QD-OLED, but I have to switch it On again every time I launch the game.

Just finished it, 7/10.
Story was fine, typical thriller stuff. Looked great, interesting locations. The combat let it down for me, shooting was too easy and I rarely had a time when I was doing the trailer combat i.e. switching between weapons and fists and using the environment much. Melee was not fun (I never like melee though, hated Batman for example)

Paid £45 and got 17hrs in total out of it so not terrible value.

The above pretty much sums up my thoughts too.

I'll add that the stealth aspect felt pretty bog-standard. Was often way too easy to just takedown one enemy, wait for another to spot the body and repeat. Enemies not being aware of a noisy takedown a few metres away because they're facing in the wrong direction. No hiding or even moving of bodies, etc.

Then of course when your stealth approach fails, it's disappointing that just shooting everyone turns out to be very straightforward.

Really enjoyed the bow-tie mini game. That'll definitely be a highlight of 2026.

No, but in the credits I saw Jacksepticeye which I had to google since I had no idea.

Still not much idea, or desire to find out.

He's a decent guy to be fair, does a lot of work for charity.

I wasn't overly bothered with the various cameos (was a bit odd seeing Shroud) but I enjoyed the game a lot. I played some of the TacSim runs last night and I think once you've got to grips with combining melee combat with gadgets with environmental abilities it really does highlight how good it can be.

completed it m8. would give it a 6.5 out of 10, was hoping it would be a bit more open, very linear, same formula over and over, head to HQ, hack items, scale walls and cliffs cut scenes in between, maybe im just getting old, or modern gaming just getting worse

Also unfinished it today and enjoyed it, worth the price for about 17hrs story gameplay.

Yeah combat/ai isn’t the best but it’s still fun (less so the melee). Story was good I thought and very Bond, and enough open ends for follow up stories.

I’ll have a play on the tac simulator later as I think this could work well if the difficulty and ai are tweaked.

I agree with the comments about the AI and combat in general being too straighforward

Did you play the campaign on Purist? there's nothing much in Tac Sim that's more difficult than that, but it at least puts a bit of a twist on things.
