1.4 GHz dual-core Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo

With a official announcement coming in the next few weeks I thought I'd start a thread for the Sony Ericsson Xperia Duo.

Specs so far:

4.5" qHD screen with the Bravia Mobile engine

Soc's either NovaThor A9500 (Mali-400 GPU) or Qualcomm MSM8260 Snapdragon chipset

A whopping 2500 mAh battery.

Who's interested then?

Looks fantastic, a little too late for me though sadly as i've already jumped on the dual core wagon.

It's good that it's got a massive battery, i assume it'll be using LCD so the massive battery will offset the extra drain that it has over OLED.

SGSII was huge when i played with it at CPW.. 4.5" and a bulky design around the screen? thats a tablet lol.

Oooh very nice, 1.5GB of RAM too, as well as 1.4Ghz Dual Core?

If Sony do a better job of the software this time, and have decent media playback capabilities (MKV please!) then colour me interested. The much bigger battery should help with one of the primary issues of current smartphones!

Strip out the bloat and use a custom launcher and this has the potential to be a really nice phone, even if 4.5" is a little on the larger side.

Based on the screen size and aspect ratio the phone is 140mm x 69mm, compared to the already large SGSII at 125mm x 66mm.

It's not going to be small...

They won't, all new 2011+ Xperia's are coming with a boot loader which is unlock-able.
