looking at the video he cut too tight, ran across the dirt which was always going to throw him wide and then poor pug who had stayed out of the way got hammered.

There's a lot of guff being spouted about speed differential, but in reality it looks to me that Mr Norris was pushing hard for a place, he made a mistake in taking too much grass in the corner and understeered to the outside of the corner and collected the pug. Avoidable? Probably. Racing incident? Definately. Lucky for all involved? Absolutely.

If you ain't rubbing, you ain't racing..

That's not the THE norris evo is it?

Anyway all three of them are at fault in the vid. They overtook on a corner and that one has a nasty adverse camber, I really don't like that corner

No its not, its just one of the others being groomed for timeattack I think. Thats a 5 or 6 (Possibly: http://www.norrisdesigns.com/demo5.asp )

The one that crashed doesn't appear to be on the site. Different registration to that one in the above link too.

not seen the ADAC Zurich 24h Nordschleife then? they have everything from 90hp Mini Coppers to 500+ HP Porsche 997 RSR's and Aston Martin DBRS9's with grids of 300+ and they dont have this issue because the drivers that enter there have talent, this norris guy doesnt even know the rules of the series he is racing in so how he thinks he has talent ill never know.

The bogey( Evo9) is off the road at the moment,being completly rebuilt to a new faster and more reliable spec.

Like has been said though having 500bhp or so Cars racing with 120bhp cars = something like this waiting to happen

Its not like a track day, poeple here are racing for places.

Think I read on MLR it took the Evo's 3 laps from the start to catch the slower cars.

The really stupid thing is that Norris had straightlined the Bobbies chicane and so shouldn't have even been racing for the position he was in.

From what I saw in the video he went into the bend too fast, clipped the dirt which caused did nothing to help his traction thru the corner and slid straight across the track in to her. He claims that it was not a lack of talent on his part just a "racing incident". BULL! Clearly had his eyes glued to the evos in front, went into the corner with too much speed, ran out of talent. Total lack of regards for other drivers. This aint Gran Turismo 4 this is real life and I feel he displayed a total lack of common sense and skill. At the end of the day it's great that eveyone is ok and its only pranged metal not bones but he needs to have a word with himself. What he was doing was tunnelvision driving, an easy trap to fall in to but could have cost lives.

On a seperate note although it is no excuse I don't think the Evo and 106 should have been in the same race in the first place.

I'm not bothered about the money. If you enter a race then you do so going in knowing that you might come home with a lump of scrap metal. What I find offensive his disregard for human life.
