They never do though lol. The 10.3 was the only driver I can remember from recent times where they actually did do the whole song and dance routine with. The opengl 4.0 drivers have far better metro 2033 performance than all other sets but they never mentioned it lol.
 
Yeah thats true. Do you have to update the Open GL drivers separately or is that just included with the normal ATi driver update?

I'm playing Metro 2033 atm.
 
Well, loaded these in, but get an error on bootup after windows starts:

"""The CCC is not supported by the driver version of your enabled graphics adaptor. please update your ATI graphics driver or enable your ATI adaptor using the Display manager""""

Also, Vantage Flickers dreadfully on Jane nash and secong gpu benchmark - but i've had that quite often since i've had my card a week ago, was ok last night though on official 10.3's

Vantage score run off these driver is (GPU): 19336 and ocerall 17833
(that's from 20021 (GPU; 19k "P" score) on 10.3...


PC specs:

[email protected], 4 gig ddr2 ram/7200 HD 32 cache, ATI XFX 5970 at stock settings.......

Something not right here.....

Definately sure you uninstalled the last set properly as that error basically says you didnt :P

@Speed - sadly mate its the d3d file which is the optimised one for metro2033 in the ogl4 sets so you have to put the whole package on im affraid. That set also has really dodgy 2d problems as well so have a play with the newer sets first! I'd personally try out the 10.x drivers I put on here about a week ago as those still have the latest build for d3d and opengl so may be better for metro.

True except these files in these 10.4a preview cats are newer than even the 10.5;s

I had the problem you described when i tried to go from the 10.5's to the 10.4's
 
Loaded these last night after uninstalling the 10.3 beta's but i'm still taking 53secs to load into maps of BFBC2.

So what when went wrong???

I have no CCC either, so can't reapply my OC's unless I use another app.
 
Either these are rubbish drivers or the BC2 fix doesnt work for 4xxx cards

dx 9 loads a map in 15 seconds for me

dx10 (with these drivers) loads same map is 30secs



GGrrrrrrr back to dx9
 
My BC2 loads insanely fast with the new patch as well im in the game before it starts. However BC2 itself seems to be a bit more buggy.

With these drivers however I did get the grey lines crash down my screen last night. And Dragon Age Origins has CTD twice since installing them

They definitely worked for me and my 4870X2

Installed straight over the 10.3b drivers dx10 load times went from ~45s to 5-10s

Hmm dunno whats going on then , i uninstalled 10.3's then installed these , timed a few attempts at joining my server and ended up with the times posted above :(
 
Ok so ive uninstalled these drivers,run driver sweeper,reinstalled these drivers and now load times much improved in dx10

will play properly later to see if theres any bugs with em
