straight classics whats your must haves.

Little bit random, are you presenting this as flat out fact? What about Jay-Z - The Blueprint, Nas - Stillmatic, Outkast - Stankonia, Sugarhill Gang Ft Grandmaster Flash - The Message, Dilated Peoples - Expansion Team. There are five that I'd say merit a place in most good hip hop collections. :)

liquid swords good just not a top ten wu album or hip hop album.
By top ten i mean every track or near as is great on the album.

I'm basing my selection on the albums I've got and I've only put them in alphabetical order.

Dr. Dre - 2001
Dr. Dre - The Chronic
Ice Cube - AmeriKKKa's Most Wanted
Jay-Z - Reasonable Doubt
Mobb Deep - The Infamous
N.W.A. - Straight Outta Compton
Notorious B.I.G. - Ready To Die
Snoop Dogg - Doggystyle
Wu-Tang - Enter The Wu-Tang
Xzibit - At The Speed Of Life

How you can have a list that has no Atmosphere, Eyedea, or Aesop Rock on it, is totally beyond me.

basically cause that is MY top ten you must own ,yours is yours.i own all the albums for the ones you mentioned and many more been collecting rap hiphop for 24 years now so ive singled out my top ten (mostly early nineties) .i could put down all my old school stuff but there would be so many it would take 5 mins to load pg :D :D and its all to do with back to back greatness not stand out one tracks which a lot of early stuff has not whole albums.
for your sakes i could put mf doom stuff,dj shadow,3rd bass, mantronix and so on.but listen to there albums how many are true bangers classics on the albums 2 ,3 4 at best on same album.

Hmm.

I believe there has only ever been one good rap album. The others are full of (c)rap.

Selected from the records/cds that I unpacked a week ago (housemove) and in no particular order:

*Beans - Shock City Maverick
*Beat Junkies - the world famous beat junkies
*Dj vadim - ussr life from other side
*Chemist/Shadow -Brainfreeze
*Kraftwerk-The Man Machine
*Mr lif - I phantom
*souls of mischief - '93 til infinity
*Pharcyde - Bizarre Ride II
*Dr. Octagon - Dr. Octagon
*KRS-One - Return of the Boom Bap

In reality it's impossible to pick a top ten of all time, so that's a bit of a mix, and I would be happy to listen to any of those albums all the way through.

nothing wrong with will smith tbh. thats a good list but i just dont get on with wu-tang. the chronic is classic stuff but i do rate 2001 above that. the the only album i know of that i enjoy every track on.
