100% English

theres no such thing as an english race

if im not mistaken the land that is known as england has been invaded many times over the centurys by different peoples....

north wales you may find a few (ver very few) pure english or as pure as you can get.

But England is a mongrel race. We have been invaded and raped so many times We are a mixture of pretty much every race.

I would say that if you have a minimum of like 6races then you're English...

muslims and poles are the current invaders so i guess they are going to have an effect on the english gene pool 100 years from now

your more likely to find the nearest thing to "pure" welsh people and scottish people

Romans, Vikings, Normans...

Romans never invaded England - it was Britain when they invaded. England was formed after they left when Angles, Saxons and Jute tribes from northern Europe emigrated here - displacing the local Britons to Wales.

Any backing for that rather sweeping statement?

I don't know how to prove it conclusively, and I am sure that you would have trouble disproving it. I don't believe I have ever heard of a documentary with the aim of subtle smug questioning of any other ethnicity...

birth certificate - british

this is just another terrorist plan to kill us all with there lazer moustaches and rocket beards

White English people are the only group who other white English people would dare to racially deconstruct...
Why would we bother exploring the heritage of someone who wasn't English, though? Somehow I doubt that a television program promising to find out just how Indian, French or Mexican your typical Indian, French or Mexican person is would be very popular.

Also, I haven't seen this program, but I'm willing to bet that at least one of the people on it is almost comically prejudiced, and that's always funny.

Why examine anyone at all?

Well I'm glad you avoided the pitfall of pre-judging...
