100 year old sprinter

Yes, because words like 'innit' are common patois in places like Ghana and Nigeria.

I didn't say 'innit' was due to black influence. But stuff like 'blud' and 'bredrins' is, is it not?

And calling police 'feds' - I wasn't aware we had a federal system in Britain but then again I'm not black so I guess I don't understand :(

Why do chavs speak like divs where there are no black people then?

What then? Telepathy?

How do we defend against a telepathic invasion of this country? Suppose that would be foil hats wouldn't it? :D

Is there anywhere left in this godforsaken country without blacks?

I love how this turned from a thread about a guy who's 100 and in better shape than 90% of this forum, to one about what's British and what's not.

Never change, GD. Never change.

Again, I'm sure that it's very common to use the terms like 'blud', 'ting' and 'bledrin' in places like Ghana and Nigeria.

Yes, with plenty white chavish "excrement". Explanation?

(Anyone else think of Red dwarf and "White hole"?) :D

"Gangster" culture doesn't have to be passed from hood rats to feral youth, they just need to watch MTV?

Only in the UK would citizens of the country fall over themselves to justify a man as British who was born elsewhere and doesn't speak the official language of the country.

Only in the UK would people respond to a story about a 100 year old man still sprinting by questioning his right to be a citizen.

Not to defend dirtydog but I suspect that a Jamaican influence is what he would suggest here for those words.

Let's assume for a second that your premise is right and that in no other country would someone attempt to "justify" another persons nationality (I don't agree with the premise but for the sake of discussion...) then I'm happy to live in a country where many attempt to be inclusive regarding others.

However we're getting a long long way from actually recognising the achievements of the man (regardless of any other extraneous factors) in preparing to run a marathon at his age so please can we focus on that.

His achievements are impressive, IF he is indeed 100 which seems rather doubtful doesn't it? ;)
