1000mi & 1000kWh for £100

Only 10,000 mile limit for that price. Not much use for an average sized commute, plus social/holidays etc. See how upping it to about 20,000 affects the price...

Oh this is gonna be such a fun thread.

Clockwork.

Less than the extra fuel for an ice to do the 10k miles

I don't even spend as much on fuel as the basic monthly finance payment on that thing for 10k miles. I do probably 18k miles a year.

Add the high insurance cost, tax, electricity cost on top of that. Tyres probably aren't cheap either. Then when you hand it back it needs to be pristine or the dealer with fleece you for repairs.

Everyone’s situation is different. My insurance didn’t change, there’s no tax till next year, and tyres are no different to an ICE unless you go for EV specific ones, but at the end of the day everyone fits whatever they can afford.

Servicing costs are pennies as all the do is change the cabin filter. Compared to my E Class, the running costs are a fraction of what they used to be.

Depreciation is a different story… :D

I’m on about the different between a 10k lease and a 20k lease. All those costs are included anyway

Your question is nonsense. It is like whinging at boomers who paid 50p and a snickers for their house. How much would your petrol be if you only filled up at motorway services @ 98ron?
Not really, considering I can't charge at home and my time is valuable, and I already own my car...You do it as a tax dodge I believe? Not to save the planet.

it’s not for you then is it. Doesn’t mean it doesn’t work for others. No work charging ?

I do it to spend less money on a car - and charge it at home between 0030 and 0530 on a granny plug. I can't even be bothered to isolate how much it costs me because it is so minimal.

Why does your personal circumstances affect the other chaps maths tho? :S

If you can't charge at home, stick with a petrol.

Retired. Did test a couple of EV's and quite liked them. It was a serious question that I notice wasn't answered, so I assume the answer isn't very palatable.
To be fair re-reading your Q it now seems quite fair. Probably 90% more in fuel cost (7p vs. 70p) and time = 30/40mins at least, per session. If you can couple charging with something else, it might be OK. My Aldi has a faster charger that makes it worthwhile; some supermarkets have chargers but they're effectively granny chargers.
