Hi all,

Budget is lowest possible it can be max £1200 that will play games for 5 years ish on ultra.

He needs a new set up ASAP for the above please, but the lowest price possible but to play all on ultra on games such as Scum, bfv new COD, siege, squad @ 60fps

His keeping is monitor for now, wants a full set up leave the mouse and keyboard out that will come later.

Wants a 1070 ti and a compatible processor to suit, ideally a corsair Hydro CPU series cooler to fit.

Thank you.

I've gone a slightly different route, with a cheaper CPU as I think it will perform similar if not better in most games. Bit of change left over for a CPU or GPU upgrade. I have the 1070ti too, but if I was buying now I'd spend another £50 and get a Vega 64 with a freesync screen.

Thank you very much :)

no worries, 550w plent for 1070ti , ran mine off 500w unit, higher wattage units will give better future compatibility
AIO isn't needed but will make it look pretty - 80% of games wouldn't see much difference using a 6-8 core CPU- intels 4 core chips with speed would always have the advantage- though this isn't as high over 1080p . Least current game slike BF1/V and AS:O loves threads, more the better and should last you a good 6 years +
Gigabyte has both Mobo and GPU RMA center in UK
larger SSD, as before you even install an OS , you'll see 10GB gone from being formatted and Win10 takes up 15-20GB - then add games now hitting 50GB plus , soon adds up

as mentioned above, vega with its 3 free games and 32" 1440p 75hz freesync screen within budget

push Windforce vega 64 for a little more power if needs be but £80 more

as KungFu mentioned, vega with 1440p freesync whether 75hz or 144hz or 1080 144hz screen will be better and cost worthy then getting 1070ti on a 1080p 60hz screen then paying about £500 for 1080p g-sync :(

you can build a great rig for that but expecting it to play 5 years at ultra and with that budget sorry not happening. some games that fps will be about that now. never mind 5 years down the line. even the 2080ti wont manage that in 5 years.
