1080p OLED or 4k LCD?

I haven't noticed any tint on mine at all to be honest, but then I haven't actually gone looking for it. As long as you don't see these things during normal viewing, then no problem. Just need to find a decent guide with some good settings now. How have you got yours set up?

I'm more worried how it will look when wall mounted, especially as when you enter my living room you see the side of the TV. Will try and take a look at one in a shop sometime :).

ISF1

OLED LIGHT 60
CONTRAST 96
BRIGHTNESS 54
H SHARP 10
V SHARP 10
COLOUR 58
TINT G5

ASPECT JUST SCAN
BLACK LEVEL LOW
GAMMA 2.2

That is what I can remember - ISF2 is the same with gamma 2.4 - Obviously every unit is different. I used DVE basic set up blu-ray - I don't have a calibration tool or anything like that.

On those settings everything looks amazing on mine. No doubt it could be even better but won't be paying for a calibration any time soon

Thanks for the settings, still fiddling with mine really.

Currently using:

Make sure you are in isf1 and Set your OLED light at 45-55, contrast at 88-90, brightness is normally between 51-53 and sharpness at 15-17

Set your OLED light at 45-55, contrast at 88-90, brightness is normally between 51-53 and sharpness at 15-17, colour is good at 50 but I'd you use wide colour gamut set the colour to 47-48

Thanks, shame about the 4K and the price tag.

I want a 32inch OLED TV hurry up LG

You have no chance of that mate unless you buy the OLED monitor they are bringing out
You can get the 55ef950 now for around £2100-2300 which is a bargain for a gen3 OLED

Looks better now. Think I'm happy with that.

Watched a couple of films on the new settings now and I think they are final now :)

Can't believe how good this TV looks, especially in dark scenes!

the fact you can now get a 55" LG OLED for less than £1K. makes me glad I've waited tbh. (deal on HUKD for those that are wondering).

OLED still has issues though that need ironing out. especially with motion processing, etc.

so I'm going to wait another year or two and by then i should be able to get a 60" OLED with less issues than currently for less than <£1K. that is what i was aiming for anyway.

i then won't upgrade until i can get a 65" or greater 4k OLED for less than <£1k.

Yeah will be interesting to see how much of an improvement this years OLEDs are.

Our next 2 TV's will be OLED's was thinking on 4K but after looking at the OLED thats what we will be getting in the next 3 years. Good thing that the H6400 is that good of a Budget TV. At least not spending over the odds on a good Set. You don't mind parting with £900 on the 40" and 48". After all we was going to spend £1500 on one TV. But thought against it until we see how things are in the next few years. So glad we got these 2 TV's. And after we got them pro calibrated they look stunning

There are no motion issues with OLED TVs, people use the incorrect settings
