Ok, so I need a 1080p monitor for my work PC to increase productivity.

I have one for my home PC which I can donate, then buy a new 1440p or big 1080p for home.

The question is though, can I run a 1080p monitor on a Core2 duo without experiencing performance issues. Bearing in mind that I am aiming to increase productivity, I don't want to be waiting on lag.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I do know it will not power a 1400p as my onboard gpu on my 2700k will only output 1080p. It will be fine but don't try to game on it or I smell smoke! (and 2fps) :D

IMO any integrated should be able to deal with 1080p no problems for 2D. It's not heavy load by any means.

Ok thanks guys. I suppose I'll just have to give it a go and see what happens.

Bit worried that image editing might be poor but I don't do much of that.

As the Core2Duo series didn't have graphics integrated into the CPU itself, to answer the question we need to know what integrated graphics (or discrete GPU) the processor will be paired up with.
