So these are my settings in bios. I cannot for the life of me understand how I am getting this kind of heat on an undervolt and stock settings. Someone please take a look and help me out.
Stock manual clock 4.8ghz RAM XMP 3600.
Idle
CPU core max 31c
CPU package max 31c
MOS 36c
Load
MOS 61.5c Under load 50% of ram (16gb) stress in Realbench
CPU core max 86c
CPU package max 86c
MOS 51c Under load 4gb Realbench stress test.
CPU core max 85c
CPU package max 85c
All of the above with the settings below. 1.25 volts isn't a lot but the HEAT... sheesh.
vcore reading 1.27v due to adaptive setting. I didn't want the cpu drawing 1.25 volts forever when it can be dropped when idle.
I can probably go lower on the vcore to further improve thermals but it’s in undervolt and I cannot see the point at this stage. Under normal work load video rendering at 1080p I hit high 50s over 3.5minute. It WAS hotter but the issue remains, not sure there isn’t a problem somewhere.
HWINFO post 10 minutes 16gb Realbench Stress test.
