Hello, I got my new Crucial M225 128gb :)
I got a few questions to ask.

Is there anyway of making it "quicker" beasue it states it should be 250mb read and 190mb write and I am getting 220mb read and 150mb write. It has the latest firmware 1819.

TRIM is on, i've used wiper but didn't increase the speed. My intel storage achi drivers are up to the latest. I am in ACHI mode. Anything I can try to get it to 250mb read and 190mb write?

Thanks.

What have you used to measure the speed? Don't forget the higher numbers you're quoting are the advertised "up to" speeds.

Run ATTO Benchmark and post the results, that will give something to compare against - and you'll probably find it's close to the advertised speeds then.

Does that count the same as the intel drive i am on, installing any driver apart from the default one stops trim from working ? not sure if its relevent to his problems but i was told changing that driver from anything other than the standard one with win 7 stops trim.

Hey guys, thanks for replying.

Here is the ATTO Benchmark. I left everything at default speed.

Do you think I should roll back my intel storage drivers to the original ones? Thanks.

There's no harm rolling back, trying the benchies again and if no change reinstalling them.
BTW check out Anand's articles on SSD's they are very thorough and spell eveyrthing out clearly.
