Windows 11 gives the best experience, hardware/performance wise. I far prefer it to 10 tbh.

Both OS work well but i'm with Dave on this, i actually prefer Win 11

If you’re gonna run ecores, W11. If disabling ecores W10 is fine.

With the 12th gen intel I'd be running Windows 11 to be honest.

Although I'd run Windows 11 anyway as I think it's a decent OS and nowhere near as bad as some make out.

Already have the latest Asus bios installed 1403.

Installed.

SP of 84. Cores need 1.5v I am absolutely GUTTED. I have NEVER had a good chip, never. With the tens of thousands of dollars I have spent on systems and all the CPU's I have bought, not once have I had a good chip.

I am literally broken, this was the last straw for me. So much for binned chips. I did think if Intel made the crappiest KS chip, I would get it. I was right.

Have you attempted to OC etc??? can we see Ai & V/F curve screens??? we have no idea if they sorted the SP rating etc with 1403, your the 1st so need to test

MB = Asus Hero
BIOS = 1403

I havent tried to overclock it. In fact I probably wont as such. I am after the lowest volts to run stock, so it runs cooler. I purchased the KS hoping for once I might get a good chip. My K chip has an SP79 and horrible volts. Now I get this KS with SP84 and even worse volts (I understand it has higher clocks). I know there are bigger things in the world at the moment than how good a chip I get, but I have literally NEVER had a good CPU or won the silicon lottery.

I cant really afford to buy 2 or 3 and try to bin them, then sell off the ones I dont want. I wish Silicon Lottery was still up and running.

I expected buying the KS would yield me a better SP chip. Basically I have been sold a below average K chip, let alone a horrendous KS.

By the way, I came across the above bin table on OCN and decided to post here as well.

@BelowAverageIQ your about 0.03v better than my SP 83 92/69 going by the V/F curve, sure this does not tell the whole story. Have you manually oc'd the cpu yet??? I'm totally with you on this though, exactly why i have bought a special edition to drastically reduce the silicone lottery and unfortunately the sample you have got barely seems binned at all. Maybe @Robert896r1 could shed a little more light, it certainly looks worse than the samples he had.

100 degrees C in Cinebench R23 at stock. Using a Lian Li Galahad 360 with pump at 100% and fans at 1500 rpm. I was able to get to 83 degrees on my K cpu if I undervolted by 0.0650. My K series CPU has an SP of 79.

Looking at the hand written table from @Robert896r1 mine is not even showing on it, it is that bad. As it currently stands I think i have the worse 12900KS in the world. Just my luck.

Not the best KS bin but should be fine compared to a good K. Yeah certainly not worth the price premium.
