12V HPR cable replacement

I've got an MSI MAG 1000W PSU as part of a system at the start of the year it's a decent gold rated unit under a year old and barely used.

Trouble is it's hardly got any cables I've got enough for peripherals but only 2 x 8 pin GPU cables ( it's got a 12vhpr connection on the PSU side) which rules out anything better than a 5070ti (and even some of those) I contact MSI and the cables aren't crazy expensive but they want 50 euros for postage so it makes it not worth doing. Cablemod are also expensive by the time you factor in postage.

I've seen 12vhpr to 12vhpr cable's on eBay but I'm very reluctant to buy a cable of unknown quality given the reputation of these connectors.

Do any reputable manufacturers offer a cable or can anyone offer another suggestion other than buying another PSU?

Think i would go for the Corsair personaly. Kolink do have some good stuff, but would not trust a already flakey power conector with a budget brand cable.

Corsair also do right angle cable as well for £9.

Search for "Corsair 90° 12V-2x6 GPU Power Cable – For NVIDIA GeForce RTX Graphics Cards, Easy Connection, Ultra-Flexible, Thermal Protection – Style A/B".

Don't think this one has the thermal protection, but i may be wrong.

Also, i take it these cables can be used on your PSU?

sorry if this is a thread hijack but it's relating to the 12V-2x6 connector. Traditionally, you're never supposed to mix and match cables, I've been getting search results which suggest that with the new ATX 3.1 standard that this doesn't actually apply to this particular connector and it has been standardised? does anyone know if this is true or not and does this mean you can just get any 12v-2x6 cable as a replacement if needed?

It depends on the PSU. Some have the 12v hpr connection on either end if they do it's fine to use a different cable.
